I think she was using her falsetto, not her head voice. Falsetto is always airy and more vulnerable than head voice. She does that in Yayo live too

LET HER DO WHAT SHE IS FUKING DOING, stop SHAMING her for not putting out a "Summertime Sadness Remix" when
that is NOT the music she desires EVER to create...

the single cover is beautiful. im sorry that some of ya'll dont get it. not everything is about expensive camera's and perfect lighting. the cover captures the mood of the song. please leave it up to the proffesionals aka miss legendary del rey.

The reality is that this song gets better and better each time i listen to it, the lyrics are simply gorgeous and make the song for me. Lana has always has deep meanings in her song and she wouldn't risk such a personal song only to diss AB and even if she wanted to her managers aint stupid enough to let her do it, the twitter drama was fun but its over now.

So weird, some of yall just seem to WANT it to be about Azealia/Kanye. Like do y’all want Lana to be slammed on Twitter and the media?

Her managers might be dumb, but they’re not stupid. They would never allow Lana to release a song that referred to someone as black referencing their skin tone, especially not in 2019. If she was going to shade Azealia or Kanye then it woulld be done tastefully, at least.

I really don't think she would say that about Azealia in a song, but the way she wrote it.....      whew

    People aren't gonna like that.

I saw this explanation on the Genius lyrics page and it made sense to me so I'm just gonna post it here

“Black Narcissist” is the other version of herself. Often depression is depicted as being black and it only thinks of itself.
Lana is combatting it by having a fun time perhaps singing and touring. That’s the only thing keeping her away from her own depression. Nonetheless, she finds herself overthinking while trying to escape from that other self.

the cover doesn't fit the song AT ALL.

HIADASLKJ is sad, the cover gives me "I'm purchasing dildos online" vibes

is it me or do these 4 songs we've heard sound like she's meeting someone again who she hasn't seen for a long time and she's saying hi to them? like an old friend? old lover?

MAC: "Don't look too far, right where you are, that's where I am"

VB: "Back in the garden, we're getting high now because we're older" "It's me your little venice bitch"

HTD: "___ met me down" "Haven't seen you 'round here lately"

HAKSJLKSH: "hello it's the most famous woman you know on the iPad"

But for real though: imagine how utterly and terribly awful the cover she shot for NFR must be if her managers didn't allow her to put that out but allowed her to use this picture as  BOTTOMKEYSMASH cover?

she's clearly not talking about AB or Kanye. BUT, if she was talking about some of them, it would be racist.
I promise that that's the last comment that I'm going to do about this topic

yeah but black as a color is often associated with sadness, negative thoughts and depression. Black as a color itself, not as a skin tone tho

Oh god, I love everything about this; but the "black narcissist" line...really? I understand what she's talking about, but people are already taking this way out of context.

From what we’ve heard, NFR is shaping up to be an album where each songs says: “Here’s what i’ve Been wanting to tell you all this time”. Whether she is speaking to a lover or her fans or her critics.

Her best work, lyrically. Even more than Heroin. Like...Lana really said "I'm gonna give the gays what they want" and then wrote this.

Norman Fucking Rockwell might have the best lyrics of all of Lana’s albums. From what I’ve heard so far, she’s really been working hard with the storytelling... with the exception of Venice Bitch but that song is sparkling like a clear diamond anyway, I love it too much. The excitement I feel for this album is indescribable, I can’t wait to buy a copy.

Um holy shit this is honestly going to be her best album? I never thought she would be able to top UV (and she still might not) but these three singles are honestly up there in my top 10 fav Lana songs ever

    Black Narcissist = Depression

Depression is usually depicted as being black, and it only thinks of itself. Lana is combatting it by just having a fun time
