There is no way the 'black narcissist' line is about another person, it makes zero sense in the context of the line or the song as a whole.
What a beautiful, heart-wrenching song. A lot of it seems inspired by the Beat poets, the kind of accumulation of images from Ginsberg's stuff. So great.

I actually think the smile is kind of like a fake smile like they write that I'm happy they know I'm not but the low contrast and cropping is unforgivable

Yeah, the cover is really bad and lazy...smh. For that great of a song to have that cover...
I guess this applies for all the other songs and maybe it'll apply for the album itself. It's sad that she doesn't care about the visuals like she used to, but at the end of the day I don't really care when the music is so good. 

Jack is the best thing that happened to her in a long time. If it was Rick or any others who produced this then it'd still be a fucking piano ballad cause I bet it was her decision. Y'all act like she writes the song and hands it over to the producer for the rest. I bet 85% of the production decisions are hers. Y'all think Jack wasn't capable of adding more to the production lol? She wanted it this raw and stripped back.

One of the defining moments as a fan for anyone is listening to a radio premiere of a new single and the hosts play Video Games while we’re waiting for the song and you know thousands of diehard fans are in the same place listening to her big break and it’s just an odd sense of nostalgia and happiness
