We all know Lana is lazy let’s not kid ourselves, she also thinks Low production and minimalism is cool. Most of the time it’s like she throws things together from a draw of stuff she hasn’t made up her mind what to do with.

I just want Lana to sing in her higher register again, atleast in one song, and I don't expect a Lolita 2.0, but I'd love for her to experiment with her range and not hear the same monotone voice when I know she's capable of more.

She's playing it way too safe alright, both live and in studio. Remember the girl who once screamed her lungs out while covering Heart-Shaped Box on Paradise tour? Well she's been replaced by someone who these days does some minor choreo and barely performs with any major energy, the OTTR performances are a perfect example of this. I know it can be a tough one to sing but even with Cherry she tends to deliver mediocre vocals - at least based on the videos I've seen - even though she really can do better. Her vocals just lack some of that passion she had when her vocals were more rough and raw.

Imo NFR will be THAT bitch because Lana is actually giving it her all. 
She changed so much and u can really hear it thru her music. Also the fact that she is now working with Jack,
I'm pretty sure she will snap with her new songs! Let's just wait and we will see/hear it next year.

Thank god we've moved on to discussing her vocal ability instead of sharing our favorite songs.
 
I agree with you, and have for the past year or so, I really wish she would play with her voice again. NFR can be an amazing record melodically and instrumentally but it could be even better if she wasn't playing it safe with her mid-vocals. Because I am honestly fearing that we'll get another album with LFL vocals.

I need Lana to put out a TOSTB level of rawness song on the album, I even think some parts of Cin could fit but I know she won't go there

one thing i will give credit to LFL for is the way she sings. she tried many different techniques and melodies. I was shook when i first heard the WM bridge because she sounded so different. not to mention all the long and high notes on songs like 13 Beaches, IMF, and WTWWAWWKD

she's been lazy with her vocals since honeymoon now and it's gotten even worse since lfl like she was actually mumbling throughout half of that record. It's such a shame though because she has such a versatile voice but does nothing with it anymore.

this probably won’t be happening but i really want her to play around with her vocals again like she did with UV. i want that raspyness, the deep voice, the scream singing, etc.

So are we expecting HIAB to be pushed as the proper lead single closer to the album release?
 
She teased it pretty early on, referred to it as her new song on Twitter (suggesting it was being a single) and obviously a music video was filmed...
