  1. I'm not sure, actually. I thought she said she just played Rocky's producer Groupie Love, and he thought Rocky would love it, so Rocky came down and did his verse, and then she said Summer Bummer happened after that. Either way, we don't know for sure, so really anything could have happened. The video with the baby had God Bless America playing actually And good point with LFL being written earlier!
  2. I don't think it was, because Lana said in the Beats Radio 1 interview with Zane Lowe that Summer Bummer was done after Groupie Love, and Groupie Love was originally a solo track most likely done in 2016, until Rocky jumped on it a few months later (assuming this since in June 2016, we had new polaroids of Lana and Rocky together), and I'm only speculating, but it sounds like Summer Bummer was done with the extension of the record: Cherry, WM, IMF, CWIMM, and Change. Playboi Carti's ad-libs which are sampled from his song "Magnolia" are also on SB, and Magnolia wasn't released until April 2017. Of course, the release of the song doesn't have to match with SB's, but in this case I think it might.
  3. I'm pretty sure LFL was originally going to mesh futuristic folk with 60's girl group. I'm pretty sure the original May 26th tracklist was something like this (with the album being finished in January 2017, with the exceptions of RBFY in March 2017 and BPBP with Stevie vocals in March/April 2017. Coachella most likely was not intended to be on the album at the time, and Cherry, WM, SB, IMF, and Change were all last minute additions in perhaps May-June). 1. Roses Bloom For You 2. Love 3. Lust for Life (feat. The Weeknd) 4. 13 Beaches 5. Groupie Love (feat. A$AP Rocky) 6. Architecture (most likely renamed that after BAR leaked, thus having Lana change the LDR5 title/concept from BAR to LFL, as we can assume) 7. Yosemite 8. God Bless America (perhaps without Metro Boomin's beats, as in April 2017, a video of Lana holding a baby was posted, and someone on here pointed out that you can hear GBA but without hip-hop beats, so maybe that version?) 9. When the World Was at War We Kept Dancing (again, maybe a potential darker version, without trap beats?) 10. Beautiful People Beautiful Problems (feat. Stevie Nicks) 11. Tomorrow Never Came (feat. Sean Ono Lennon) 12. Heroin 13. Get Free I love LFL the way it is now, but I can't help but imagine this as the original LFL in early 2017, with music videos for Love, LFL, Architecture, and Yosemite.
  4. Aww thanks! I couldn't have said it better myself. Even when Lana's imagery is folk-inspired I really live for it. I can honestly say that my favourite visuals she's served were the 2016 festival tour looks, the Love video, and the LFL album trailer. Even her outfits in the Freak video were quite folky, especially that green paisley blanket. 2016 really was Lana's peak folk era. Even though we didn't get any professional images done, to me, her casual looks, hair, etc. were quite folk inspired, especially the look at Lykke Li's party in April. I love everything, from the visuals to the music, about folky Lana!
  5. I love it so much! It's so perfect for her and I find it one, if not the best, of her best genres!
  6. I totally agree with you! Lana's folkier tracks are some of my favourite of hers, and I really thought LFL would be more folkier, because Love does remind me of that 60's female power, anthemic folk sound, and her vocals at some points in the song sound very folky, as do BAR's. The aesthetic of the white dresses and minimal makeup and daisies in the hair look gave me a folky vibe. I would love LDR6 to be folky - I feel like we may get that, as Bartender and Sylvia sound a little folky, Bartender sounds really southwestern-rock inspired based on the title, and BAR and Yosemite seem to have a folky deserty vibe too. And I would love for her to bring the prominent strings back! They've been absent on a lot of the songs on LFL, and when they do appear, they're quite muted. Let's manifest this idea!
  7. Honeymoon - 25 Terrence Loves You - 14 God Knows I Tried - 28 Salvatore - 23 The Blackest Day - 39
  8. Love, 13 Beaches, Cherry, Groupie Love, Coachella, Heroin, Change, and Get Free are definitely my favourites. I love the whole album so much!
  9. Lol I just love Honeymoon! Every song is a 10 for me
  10. Honeymoon - 10 Music to Watch Boys to - 10 Terrence Loves You - 10 God Knows I Tried - 10 High by the Beach - 10 Freak - 10 Art Deco - 10 Burnt Norton (Interlude) - 10 Religion - 10 Salvatore - 10 The Blackest Day - 10 24 - 10 Swan Song - 10 Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood - 10
  11. I totally agree about what you said for Yosemite! However, I was not familiar with this Lily Allen video but I can totally see the similarities! btw I love your icon!
  12. I can't help but imagine if LFL followed its original aesthetic concept - I don't mean to do self-promo here, but instead of rewriting everything in this thread, I'll link a post and concept I made in another thread. http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/9598-edits-by-ianadeirey/?p=604431 I hope the EP or next album takes a more cohesive, vintage approach like this ^
  13. Maybe she'll include more unreleased tracks! Paradise was soundchecked, maybe that will make an appearance! Perhaps some more LFL songs too!
  14. Heroin, Change, and Get Free truly are the Lana songs I relate to - up until Lust for Life, to me, Lana's music was something I enjoyed and loved but never really related to because I haven't had the same experiences as her, but something about the last 3 tracks on Lust for Life really resonate with me and really inspire me to become more conscious and aware.
  15. On the topic of seasons, strangely enough, I find myself gravitating towards listening to the records more often in various months, rather than seasons. BTD = November, December, January, February, March PD = August, September UV = January, April, May, June, July, August HM = November, April, May LFL (so far seems like) = May, June, July, August, September, October Honeymoon is very spring-like, but The Blackest Day, for me, can be listened to in any season. The beats feel very fall/winter, whereas the guitars and nostalgia feel summery, and the track itself just seems like a metaphor for a new beginning, whether that be positive or negative, which fits spring.
  16. For some strange reason, I imagine the video for this song to be set in a desert, where Lana enters a bar with a red roof and yellow outer wall, and the name of the song gives me southwestern rock vibes, maybe something like "I'll Cry" by Juanita Stein.
  17. Obviously I wanted Lana to win, but at least she was still nominated! And for such a huge category! We also have some HQ professionally recorded interviews from the event too! And she looks stunning!
  18. I agree! And especially after what Kesha endured to even release Rainbow, she is deserving of any award - what she did is commendable.
  19. This must've been the inspiration for the look - the dress looks quite similar. Love it https://www.instagram.com/p/BegndYFHtmZ/?taken-by=allison_perez
