Hi everyone,
A few very kind members on here have told me I should start my own thread with my cover arts, so here it is! I appreciate all of your kind comments and support since I started posting my COTCC cover concepts! <3
I've included below the COTCC concepts I've posted in the pre-release thread!

‘LET ME LOVE YOU LIKE A WOMAN’
Inspired by the actual cover art and Joni Mitchell’s “Blue”! I thought I’d use a photo from the 2019 Q Magazine shoot, as she first mentioned it there!

Man it must be embarrassing posting on a site dedicated to her then. I can’t imagine your humiliation. If only there was something you could do about that....

completely feel this! each song has like a very lana-esque element.
Ride is the big, bombastic anthem about the strange combined feelings of loneliness and freedom.
American is the slightly more paired-back, intimate, sweet, devoted love song with the trip-hop elements present on BTD.
Cola is the sultry, Bond Girl-esque side of Lana that sings about older men and diamonds.
Body Electric is the sinister celebration of iconography and Americana.
Blue Velvet is the classic jazz cover, obviously significant to Lana's whole thing.
Gods & Monsters is the most rock-inspired song on the EP, which again, super relevant to Lana (the song would probs fit right in on UV) and that's without even considering the iconic lyrics and what they represent in the Lana pantheon.
Yayo is obviously a re-imagining of her elusive earlier work as Lizzy and all its talk of trailer parks and putting on a show for u daddy represents the 'sad party' vibe she aims for in her earlier work and unreleased stuff.
Bel Air is a lil bit of 'Hollywood Sadcore' Lana, super ethereal and gentle but also a little glamorous and cinematic.
there's rly something in every song of this EP to represent who Lana is, esp who she was at that point it needs more love

I'm full-in on a covers album. And with her name dropping Patsy Cline ❤❤❤❤ I mean, I love so many of her songs, I wouldn't even know where to start; I Fall To Pieces, Walkin' After Midnight, She's Got You, Crazy, Back In Baby's Arms just to name a few. I'm hoping she covers Crazy or She's Got You, but Back In Baby's Arms is a rare gem of a track. I think it's a bit too fast for Lana, she would probably slow it down. Anyways, super excited for this album (assuming it actually happens)

This album is definitely coming, she's already updated us since the announcement and proven that she's in the studio recording for it as promised.

When the Beach Boys were working on Pet Sounds, their label needed an album out for the holidays, but Brian Wilson refused to rush his masterpiece, so they had to quickly put together something else. So they recorded an unplugged cover album, then brought some friends in to record talking and giggling and stuff to add to the tracks, took some pictures playing at the beach, and quickly put together “Beach Boys Party!” in time for the holidays. When Lana first mentioned the idea of “Pacific Blue”, I had brought up how I wished Lana would do something like what The Beach Boys did, but that she probably wouldn’t..... I just remembered that now and realized that now she’s doing exactly that...... freaky

I would love if Lana covered the following songs. I also think they’d suit her so well since she’s referenced some, played some live herself, and they just really fit her sensibility already.
House of the Rising Sun - various
Scarborough Fair - Simon and Garfunkel
Diamonds and Rust - Joan Baez
Rainbow Road - Joan Baez
For Free - Joni Mitchell
Blue - Joni Mitchell
Garden Party - Ricky Nelson
Can’t Help Falling in Love - Elvis Presley
I Fall to Pieces - Patsy Cline
You are My Sunshine - Johnny Cash
Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door - Bob Dylan
Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen
Stand By Your Man - Tammy Wynette
Jolene - Dolly Parton
To Know Him is to Love Him - Phil Spector
Rhinestone Cowboy - Glen Campbell
Ventura Highway - America & George Martin
Islands in the Stream - Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton
Helplessly Hoping - Crosby, Stills & Nash
Our House - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
So Far Away - Carole King
I Talk to the Wind - King Crimson

LOL! I always interpreted that line to refer to her uterus, which is a symbol of femininity, fertility, child-bearing etc. The way I understood it was that her lover made her feel like a woman and that their relationship moved Lana to the point where she felt herself engaging with the most romantic aspects of womanhood, hence, the reference to her inner world (cosmos baking = universe forming) being how she deep in love she is. It could also be a play-on-words of the popular phrase, “butterflies in my stomach”, which people feel when they’re around someone they have a romantic/flirtatious connection with!

Thank you so much for those lovely words
And I think I should go the bed now and listen to Violets. Then I 'll see what images I'll have in mind when the cosmos baking line comes on
( and it's so calming when Lana reads you to sleep)
And yes !!! We have taste and intelligence around here

You’re so welcome! and I agree, it’s gorgeous! Hopefully it helps replace the imagery you attached to it before
And aw, don’t feel dumb! Poetry can mean so many things <3 remember that you’re a Lana Del Rey fan who can appreciate her music and poetry and understand the intention and nuance that shines through - we’re all intelligent beings around here who clearly are intellectually capable of engaging with Lana’s work! Sending love <3
