Lana sounded like the album is coming this week. She just want to make it a suprise. There is not a single reason to delay the album and push it to the end of fking cocctober. Dalulus know what the true logic means  a few post ago i said that the album is coming in 99% but my powerful mind calculated that we are just going to get the album in 100% on september 5. You bois and guhrls can trust me. DELULU KING NEVER LIE AND HIS MEANINGFUL MINDFUL CALCULATIONS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT. Im even a better source of info thal all of the insIders.

the record stores and music companies won't give us a concrete answer, because they're all in on it! ben mawson and ed millet have got them wrapped around their silly little fingers thinking they can keep this album away from the lipsters, they think they have us fooled, but in reality, we fooled them! chemtrails over the country club coming this saturday!

Support for Yosemite being on the album:

In Bare Feet on Linoleum, she weighs the options of travelling the country once again to find the great American homecoming that she never had, or to remain in complacency and spend her life standing bare feet on linoleum chopping vegetables into stew. The combination of the scary music, and the title "Chemtrails over the Country Club" strongly suggest that she will be exploring themes around the darkness of that lifestyle, and will once again hit the road to find happiness, perhaps stopping in Yosemite along the way?

I also don't know why some people act like this song is old news and not something to be curious/excited about. We know literally nothing about it other than Lana saying it was her favourite but didn't fit the vibe of Lust for Life, and that random live few seconds she sang that gave no sense of the song. Even if it's not on this album, I do think she's saving it for the future and guarding it carefully.

According to Bare Feet on Linoleum, she's gone scorched earth.

Ok so I'm high af and I just had the most delusional moment so far. I believe she said Sept 5th cause in her mind was a nice day to release the album but of course things get delayed now, and besides this is Lana we're talking so we must've learnt by now not to trust anything she says. But then I thought about Video Games and how she says 'i feel so alone on a Friday night' and I thought: the album's not coming on Sept 5th, it's coming on the 4th.

Edit: I meant BTD sorry lol

I agree that her approach has changed a bit and become more serious, but I still think the satire is there, and I also think it's all a part of the bigger story she is telling. She is evolving and maturing after all as a person.

In terms of the character and story she's creating, I feel as though Lust for Life was her way of trying to move past the gloominess of her life and find happiness, which she does to a certain degree but it's also somewhat superficial because the search for happiness can't be forced, it's a lifelong journey.

NFR seems to take a step back and examine her life as a part of the bigger picture, and also looks at the world at large. For me, The Greatest is like the climax of the story she's been telling this whole time, and "the culture is lit, and if this is it, I had a ball" is highly satirical. She's watching the world burn and recognizing that while it's been a fun ride, none of it is real because today's culture lives in a self-absorbed bubble where we turn a blind eye to all the destruction around us. Right afterwards, in Bartender, she acknowledges her role as a simple rich lady having tea parties and garden meditations, and while she enjoys it, she knows it's not enough because she still escapes in the middle of the night to find something more. Then we have Happiness is a Butterfly, which I think is a song where she regresses the most lyrically and once again explores the simple themes of a toxic relationship that keeps hurting her, because history always repeats itself and it's hard to break free from these patterns in life. Which brings us to Hope, her most lyrically profound song in my opinion where she goes deeper than ever before and recognizes how damaged she is, but she still has hope that she can change.

In Violet she finally lets us inside, not just to see what she wants us to see, but to see it all and explore her innermost thoughts. In Paradise is Very Fragile it all sinks in and she finally sees the problems with her glamorous lifestyle, because if the inhabitants of paradise take too much there will be nothing left for the rest of us, and she recognizes her role in that. Bare Feet on Lineoleum is the final thing she's left us on before Chemtrails, and it has her facing a crossroads. Does she finally abandon the superficial world she's built up around her and keep searching for something real, or does she lean further into complacency and chop vegetables into stew for the rest of her life. Given the horrifying music that accompanies that ending, I assume that she's going to "wake up" in Chemtrails and break open her world to continue her search for happiness in a new direction.

Sorry for the rambling novel LOL it's just fun to think about and explore the story she's telling. I think ultimately Lana will always be telling a story about the lifelong journey towards peace and happiness, and while she may never get there fully, it's a beautiful thing to experience as it's a journey most people in the world can relate to in some way or another.

Grace Kelly, Kim Novak, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Onassis, all the famous models of the period like Suzy Parker and Dorian Leigh, international figures like Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren--we're still seduced and drawn in by them today.  I don't think she was automatically aware of the "faults" of the era; that was something she had to learn by educating herself. Few, if any, can see right through an entire complex era full of artifice and enormous success 'just like that.'

Based on recent information she’s given us and what other stores are saying*:

    - I think LMLYLAW is coming in the next 2 weeks

    - I think she’ll have the pre-order/ post the cover/tracklist/album trailer in 3 weeks with the title track as a promotional single

    - I think we’ll have a few magazine covers with interviews scattered about over the next month

    - the music video for the title track will come out second week of October

    - album drops third or fourth week of October

She made it seem like both LMLYLAW and the COTCC video will be out before the album.

The album probably started being mastered in mid-July and 3 months from then would be mid-October, which is when the album will probably come out. I think she wanted to have all the formats be available at the same time if she could for a more traditional release; with LFL she added songs right before her deadline and that’s why she had a delayed vinyl release, but she hasn’t really started any promotion with this record yet so she could afford to just wait a month so everything would be ready at once.

*Holding onto this ONLY once September 5th passes and when we don’t get the album, until then, #TeamDelusional

Ok y’all. I don’t know if this has been said yet, but here’s my theory re: the alboom:

I think Lana is, at least partially, going to make a political statement with this album. Specifically, I think the title “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” is a jab at the political right - specifically, middle-to-upper-class, predominantly white and wealthy Trump supporters. From the beginning of Trump’s presidency, his most ardent supporters have been proponents of a wide variety of conspiracy theories - the Obama birther theory, the “Deep State”, the Clintons having a body count, just to name a few. And, most recently, the conspiracy theory that COVID is fake, over-exaggerated, or a government hoax to achieve totalitarianism.

Furthermore, country clubs are generally associated with the white and wealthy - in the same general category as yachts, white picket fences, huge houses, etc. It’s a rich white people thing, and plenty of rich white people are right-leaning or Trump-supporting. I think this might be the idea Lana’s getting at - chemtrails over the country club. Conspiracy theories enrapturing the white and wealthy, drifting over the country club where they lounge. Entertained at the expense of other, very real political and social issues. Used to avoid addressing those very real issues, perhaps.

Idk, I might be reading too far into it, and I don’t know if Lana would make a political statement like this. I know she’s been vocally anti-Trump in the past. This was just what I thought of when I heard the title.

(I’m not looking for a political argument, or to argue about the veracity of certain conspiracy theories. I don’t mean to disrespect or offend anyone. Just wanted to share my two cents)

EDIT: oh fuck this is a novel of a post. sorrryyyyyyy

Its not the depression that made BTD iconic. Its how dedicated she was to the aesthetic and grandiosity. BTD title track video was glamorous and was a metaphor of a dying relationship as told through her literal death. NFR title track video was recorded with an iphone vintage filter and was her sitting around her house singing
