So tomorrow it begins and I'm so ready for our country to flop once again! We truly deserve it. I have no expectations but based on what I've heard (and what I can remember) Sweden will get my vote this year as well. Montenegro needs to go.

I have yet to watch the Tabula Rasa video but GIVE ME THE LOSS ONE

You spoke that into existence, you planted that seed and now we all might see the harvest!

Hmm I've seen some videos and photos on Instagram now and the stage is quite alright - I guess the previous one was a bit too over the top and camp, whereas this one is more toned down and sophisticated so to speak. I just love the previous one so much because it was such a nice setting and otherworldly just like her and the record, it looks so good on photos and videos and it was gorgeous live. Oh how I wish we had a proper recording of one of the shows last summer with Human Behaviour and all, I'll settle down for a blu-ray of this one as well though - which I doubt we'll get but one can dream, right. Do you think she's going to release any more music videos for the Utopia songs or is she moving on to new material or something? Because after all this time I still have my fingers crossed for a Loss remix EP and a video... Edit: Oh yeah and the second outfit slays

New single: "Doin' Time" (Sublime cover) - OUT NOW
jvcx replied to Say Yes to Heaven's topic in New Releases
Well that 26sec clip alone is way better than the bland and uninspiring tracks she's put out and teased, in my opinion covers have pretty much always been her weakness (except for Heart-Shaped Box and Summer Wine which is cute) but maybe this time it's the other way around - I can't believe I'm saying this but for the first time this era I actually have a little bit of hope! -
How come no one's mentioned her iconic 16-minute Met Gala entrance with 4 outfits https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ7peEzp8v8&t=809s

I randomly clicked at the Loss part and ooooh did that take me back to last July, what a fcking utopian Goddess she was Also I have to agree that the setlist is a bit meh and the stage production was better last summer

Yung Rapunxel is her magnum opus so...

I actually like the cover art and I'm probably getting the standard edition but??? Why are the Golden tracks in there and not at least Into the Blue??? And honestly how about This Wheel's On Fire, I know she only recorded it for the AbFab movie but it's so good imo like it's Kylie and AbFab so it's everything a homosexual like me could want Also I'm so sick of Kids already, she should've replaced it with Higher lol

I downloaded FL Studio last year and I've only been playing around without actually even studying the software, I'd like to do some experimental techno/industrial/EDM shit or something like that (I like writing lyrics but God knows I don't have a good singing voice) but for the time being I don't have enough skills so I always get frustrated and scrap whatever I've been working on or leave unfinished - for example I worked on some experimental ambient stuff and lo-fi last year but I'm only happy with one of the tracks. At the moment I got one finished track that I did recently and that's waiting on my SoundCloud account but I've yet to set it public as I feel like it's generic, simple as hell and therefore embarrassing even though I like it myself. I thought it really would be the one to see the daylight unlike the rest but now I'm just having second thoughts.

When and how did you discover Harry Potter? When the first film came out on VHS in 2002! I was six at the time and I remember going to the supermarket with my mom to buy it, they handed this poster for free to everyone who bought it and I had the poster on my wall even when I was a teenager. I couldn't read at the time so my mom would usually read the subtitles out loud for us. I was a huge fan of Harry Potter, I'd watch the films dozens of times and so on. I started hoarding the books when I learned how to read, however I've got to admit that I think I've only read them like once each because the films were superior to me, I also spent a lot of my time playing the PC games of The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Order of the Phoenix. This was one of my favorite toys to play with even though I was too young to actually understand English, and actually I was thinking about it a while ago and when I went to visit my folks a couple of weeks ago, I accidentally bumped into it and it still worked! I really, really wanted a Barnes & Noble replica wand but they were difficult to find at the time, I've bumped into them at GameStop stores later on and ofc they're available on Amazon etc but I've yet to buy one - I definitely will once I'm comfortable with the idea of paying 30€ for something that I basically have no use for but I wanted one so bad when I was a kid so yeah. I think I also had a broom...? What's your favorite film? These days I'd probably say Deathly Hallows Pt.I, I have absolutely no idea why though lol What about your favorite book? Either The Order of the Phoenix or The Deathly Hallows. Who's your favorite character and why? Harry and Ron, not necessarily in that order (I think I had a minor crush on Ron at some point but I don't know). For some reason I also really liked Nymphadora Tonks even though she's a very minor character. Favorite spells? Wingardium leviosa and lumos when I was a kid, also accio and the extension charm later. What's your House? Hufflepuff. What's your Patronus? A dolphin. Overall Harry Potter was a big part of my childhood and the original films and books will always have a special place in my heart, even though I slowly grew out of the wizarding world - I've seen the new two FB films but I haven't really been into them, even though they expand the world of Harry Potter nicely. Every single time I go to GameStop I rush to take a look at the HP merchandise first, I would've been so happy to own an illuminating wand for example when I was younger like my heart actually aches a bit every time. And like I mentioned, I'm still drooling for this Barnes & Noble replica of Harry's wand and I'm determined to buy it eventually! I wouldn't mind owning the original prints of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages, since I had scanned copies of them and I don't really like the covers on the prints that are available these days. The Tales of Beedle the Bard could be interesting as well, I guess there's spell books too? Edit: Oh yeah it still hurts to think that they used to sell Harry Potter chocolate frogs in basic ass supermarkets back then, those were the good old days... my friend bought me some when she went to London a few years back but then she fucking ended up eating them herself and all I got was some lousy card that had nothing to do with HP!

Okay, I went to see Endgame today in IMAX 3D like mentioned earlier and here are my spoiler-free thoughts put short. Like I expected, it doesn't top Infinity War for me at least based on one watch. Infinity War kicks off in such a dramatic way and is a much heavier film emotionally than Endgame, which is lighter in tone and I actually didn't even feel much during a certain death scene of one of my favorite major characters. The first act of the film is probably the weakest being somewhat boring, the second one is entertaining enough but the third act with the final showdown is absolutely epic, a huge save for me because not only was it very entertaining to watch, but also so fcking badass! Like oh my god. I did shed some tears towards the end during a certain beautiful and peaceful scene and the end credits were fantastic - especially the ones of the original Avengers cast, it was like saying goodbye to some of them and it was a beautiful way of ending their long journey, there's a small but effective touch that makes it feel personal. The film also doesn't feel like it's three hours long, it went by quite fast and even though it doesn't top Infinity War for me at the moment, it sure is a great ending for this phase and probably does come second best MCU film so far right after IW - even though there is actually *VERY MILD SPOILER ALERT* very little Captain Marvel in the film which is a shame. Edit: Ok now I'm actually sad bc of it lol

Well now that you said it, the same does apply to her so...
-
Well the videos are definitely more or less forced in my opinion, especially the one where she's supposed to be working out or whatever and then starts dancing towards the end - I couldn't watch the full thing when I first saw it because it's just so obvious. Even if her family and management's intentions are good and for her wellbeing, that particular video is a step backwards because it makes it seem like they're really trying to underline that she's doing well despite everything and so on and they're overdoing it - the first short clip of Britney addressing the rumours (kind of indirectly in the actual video though) was good and they should've stopped right there.
