This really isn't directed at anyone specific, and more just based on what I see on twitter but I really don't understand why Nicki Minaj stans will tell people to stop comparing Nicki to Cardi, and that Nicki has been in the game for so long and that Cardi isn't on the same level as Nicki (which I think is a fair point), but then turn around and every time Cardi does something, they trash her for it and talk about how people hold Nicki to a higher standard than they hold Cardi to. My question is so which is it? Is Nicki at a higher level then Cardi (I think she is) and if so, shouldn't people rightfully expect more from Nicki? Or are do you actually feel that Cardi is a threat and thats why Nicki fans continuously go out of their way to put Cardi down and cause problems? I just don't understand, it can't be both.
 
I hate the fact that Nicki's fans feel the need to attack Cardi when she came up praising Nicki. She paid her respects, and contrary to popular belief there CAN be more than one female rapper charting if you all would stop pitting them against each other. There's countless male mumble rappers making the exact same types of songs and their fans are trying to cause beef. I really just don't get it. If you don't like her music that's 100% fine but I don't understand the need to tear her down.

I hate the chorus and the bridge but I actually really like the verses. I am, however, able to acknowledge that this is a disaster of a song and it's probably best that Lana was barely featured. It's sad enough that her name is attached.

Party Monster didn't have this "Featuring Lana Del Rey" so it was unexpected... Only a pleasant surprise to hear her voice.
It seems like BORNS put that tag just to outsell using her name which was annoying.. We got something else from what we all expected.
Anyways, it IS a BORNS song so I personally don't really care tbh.. I find this situation funny and kinda forgettable.

i don't know why but the instrumental has a 90s chill pop vibe, the ones that have young band singers wearing all white in music videos

Prepare for some wreckage. If this is your favourite song on the album, I'm happy for you, but I just can't ignore these thoughts ive had since the songs release
 

 
It doesn't show us Abel's potential in his voice. I think his voice is soul-touching when he is pleading. He doesn't suit dreamy or hopeful when he sings air-headed like this, I'm so sorry. Same for Lana's voice. The Instrumental is my FAVOURITE THING EVER, but you just CANT HEAR IT while they are singing this way, like at all. Its kind of a waste of a flawless instrumental Lana's half-spoken vocals in the verses are s-e-x-y-y-y-y-y-y but with the pre-chorus and chorus it is anticlimactic and I feel like I was cock teased. There was no motorbike in the music video which could have made it even better. I would get wet as soon as I saw Abel and Lana on a bike together in those outfits but no. If lana was talk-singing the verses on the bike, Id get pregnant. But no. The pre-chorus and bridge 'take off all of your clothes' is the most boring repetitive thing I've heard in any of Lana's songs ever. EVER.  And to make it worse it's sung in a really boring way. If she and he had sung it while escalating to higher notes, it would be so much more interesting. It would be like an orgasm Sorry for all the sexual references but sex really is what this song could have been like.  The Weeknd feature is NOT the problem. Prisoner and Stargirl are songs that I have repeated 10 times in a row without getting bored and I still never skip them on shuffle.  The problem is all the things they could have done to make this the best song on Lust For Life (as it should have been as it's the album title track...) were not done, and instead it turned into lazy singing over the perfect wasted instrumental. It's like they were forced to tone it down and seem childishly boring. I get that it's meant to seem innocent, but then the title should be Love for Life. Lust for Life makes me think of being crazy and daring with people who just wanna have fun, but the song didn't deliver that either.  I cant really think of a 13th, I just wanted to make everyone cringe.
