Coming out of LanaBoards retirement quick just to recommend Stella Rose to everyone suffering in this thread, she reminds me of Sky a lot and her new album Eyes of Glass which came out earlier this month is really good! She is a nepo baby though lol but still really talented (Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode’s daughter)
 
My favorite song of her’s is “Angel” which echoes the softer moments on NTMT like I Blame Myself and Love in Stereo and 24 Hours

But the first half of her album is also pretty heavy, echoing songs like Omanko and Nobody Asked Me and I Will

I don’t know how you can be a Sky fan and not like her tbh, she also has a little Amy Winehouse in her voice which is really cool. A potential mother!

As for Kim - I think most of the people in this thread want the best for her, because there's a lot of really positive things her success would prove/show/bring, and if one person can open doors, that means more can fit through them later. However, if someone's success comes at the cost of enriching other people's wallets, especially when those other people have a history of poor ethics and a cloud of abusive behavior around them, is it worth it?

if someone can take something you “troll” about seriously and it affects others, than it’s irresponsible and not worth it. I will troll about putting an 15 inch dildo up my @ss to relate to There Will Be Blood but that’s obviously not the same as joking about valid criticism of working with an alleged sexual abuser

This has been such a messy rollout I haven't even had time to process the fact they pumped out IJWAR as the lead, completely abandoned any promotional efforts, then left off the album entirely and for some reason included Brr...  let alone the fact she recorded multiple scrapped albums, the "singles" leading up to this release have been a mess.
 
- FSN released as lead, eventually scrapped. Made little noise but well enough liked.
- Coconuts released as second single. Created buzz but ultimately mishandled with no proper video. Now technically the first single from the album?
- HIFTB teased as third single, never comes out. Relegated to album track.
- IJWAR released as new lead, seemingly indicating no prior singles would make the album (including Coconuts), later scrapped probably due to lukewarm reception
- Brr released as "second" single from the album for... some reason. Her team seemed to have lost the plot here because there was literally no reason for it to come out.
- Alone released as the the third "lead" single (despite two prior released songs making the tracklist)  and the only of the "leads" to be included. Lots of pre-release buzz for what ultimately was a lazy, phoned in waste of hype. Alone 2.0 released due to fan demand and pushed by her as the "fix"... still didn't fix the issues. Luckily the DallasK remix did the job but it has not been promoted at all and it's release has been almost completely ignored.

first preaching Alone was going to get a #1 spot and now saying Slut Pop (aka her worst work to date) deserved a second part 

hi - i know i'm late to this considering the info i'm about to reveal is old info i got from conversing with cathy a while ago, but this is to clear up some speculation:
- no, new life was never intended for any of her projects. she mentioned that it was a demo that she cut and wasn't intending on putting it out.
- the reaper was indeed intended for the chainsmokers, however they didn't want her on the final song which is why her version was scrapped.
- the versions of dolce vita, plastic and tear me open that leaked are "super unfinished demo"s, which means the final versions are obvi gonna hit so much harder
- 2/3rds of the batch of songs that leaked around this time (i.e: rainbow road, loverboy, new life) have been scrapped, meaning that you probably won't be seeing any of these songs on a slayyyter project lmao. if the leaked tracklist is right, then we can say goodbye to any chance of rainbow road being released officially (rip gerlie)
hope this clears up any assumptions you might have about s3! and no, i don't condone any leaks and i hope cathy is doing fine. if u r seeing this i love u girl mwahhhh so excited for whats to come!
