Doin' time was so good. They finally gave her a budget for music videos.
When huge Lana steps out, with all her fame and glory and gets revenge for Lizzy. The symbolism. The legs. The poise and grace.

    She's back.

I swear all celebs dress like trash in their every day life. I guess when you're actually rich, you don't need to dress to look like you're rich lmao

oh no, will she have to give up one of her multiple houses?

People literally go into debt for preorders, concert tickets, boxsets etc. Even if the people that downloaded the LQ incomplete recordings of the album didn't have like four different versions preordered, or any versions, and never ever streamed it / saw it in concert etc it's not like she releases music to keep the lights on. I'm not one to encourage people to rip her songs from youtube and only listen that way (apart from very briefly this time last year lol) but seeing fans on or below the breadline eating into their overdrafts to preorder her album get shamed like they're stealing the food out her mouth gets me riled up lol. With or without the leaks she's got more money than many will make in a lifetime.

Honeymoon was such an aesthetically magnificent era, arguably her most concept-driven album.

LFL and NFR can't seem to relate...

The funniest thing about this new BAR is how most people were expecting her to change the "he was cool as heck" but she kept it and changed the good parts of the song  CLOWNERY AT ITS BEST

It is appropriate to download songs Lana never wanted out there, but it's inappropriate to listen to songs that she does want out there? Funny logic.

Lana Del Rey announces her seventh studio album is to be released exclusively via the Instagram story of a randomly selected 13 year old girl, who will be sent a dictaphone with the album on it, followed by death threats from thousands of gays.

”It’s what my fans are used to, and it’s truly what they deserve,” Del Rey said in a statement.

No, it's definitely a Taylor song, particularly the lyrics. Lots of fans have even pointed out how they connect to her past songs. She reuses concepts but not actual lyrics like Lana does. Lana uses the same damn lines over and over until it's no longer a theme but rather just her being lazy.

Idk why people seem to think Lana invented some of the most common creative shit around lmao. Like anything retro reminds people of Lana because I guess she invented the past. Slow songs? Lana invented it, no one knew how to slow down a song until she came along. Talking about your bf? Such Lana vibes, romance never existed until now. Thanks Lana. (And her Style video apparently copied from Lana's Summertime Sadness, as if photos/videos with a projected image over a girl wasn't all over fucking tumblr just a few years prior lmao. Damn, people are uncultured.)

Lover is a very cute song. But what really gets me about this era is the visuals, e.g the album cover. It has such a sweet, lovely and peaceful vibe. I'm dying to hear 'Daylight'.

Lover is my favorite so far, the lyrics are so cute and romantic (just like she said they would be lol) and the use of real instruments... I missed it.
What lana song sounds like that??? I see this everywhere but??? Maybe the 2 unreleased country-ish songs but except for that.. noneBesides she has been making music like that before Lana even existed in the mainstream. The song gave me last kiss/dear john vibes if anything

I thought Woke Americans say they live in a racist culture and that racism is so insidiously normalized that people don't always realize when they're being racist and everyone has to make an effort to 'unlearn' it all. (and by everyone, they mean everyone else besides themselves because they were literally born immune to it and you're all dirty sinners) And if anyone is gonna be Subconsciously Racist, you bet it's the pretty rich white girl who grew up ignorant of social issues lmao. All your favorites are probluhmahtic, you're gonna have to burn all your shit.

ANYWAY, the song is boring. Why couldn't Cinnamon Girl have dropped. Bring on the bops. Bops unite us all.

AKA, there are no skips for me and the lyrics are so different from what anyone else could ever do. Pawn Shop Blues and Yayo are two of her most beautiful songs.

I just saw she's donating the proceeds, thank god. Guess I'll eat my words, gladly. From 'I wish artists wouldn't do this' to 'wow more artists need to do this' lmao

Okay...I stan. RELUCTANTLY, but I stan.

You're right. It is a beautiful song as well, can't deny that. But choosing to financially benefit from it wasn't an immediate decision. The profits of a song about gun violence, released during a difficult time so it gets extra attention, are going towards a rich record company and a rich woman. Like, I get she made the song, it's her song her property, but she's utilizing this political atmosphere to profit both financially and socially because now she's a Woke Queen to everyone. All I'm saying is, if she cared if she felt, she'd be doing more than just releasing the song. She'd be donating proceeds. (hell, smaller artists than her donate proceeds lmao)

I'm not saying artists can't be political, I'm saying they need to stop doing it with insidious ulterior motives. Everyone's been wanting Lana to be political since the very beginning by shoving 'ARE U FEMINIST' down her throat all day every day. But the feminist look just didn't fit her 'submissive ingenue' brand at the time. Now she's too old for that so the next best thing is this, I guess.

I think she was being genuine when she wrote the song and probably did it as an immediate reaction to the news, rather than a cynical attempt at woke points. But, as has been pointed out, she seems to have a very shallow understanding of sociopolitical issues, including within the context of mass shootings. So while I appreciate it as a beautiful and heartfelt expression of grief and reflection, I have a hard time taking it seriously as any kind of political statement.

I know what you mean, I feel it, too. Very strongly. It's the production, the sounds, the way her lyrics repeat out of context, alone. It's just so sad.

Can't believe it's gonna be on the mess that is NFR. The snippets were disappointing. A mess. Lana's a mess. This era's a mess.

Lana grew up rich and even now as a celeb, she lives in a gate-kept society. Not to shit on her, but jumping to capitalize on mass shootings by releasing a Woke Song is such poor taste.
Sitting in her ivory tower like 'oh these poor poor kids :'(c. Here's a cute song.' Unless she's donating those proceeds, it just shows how greedy celebs are.

i don't like venice bitch. i appreciate it and i get why people love it, but something about the key that the song is in gets me really depressed. i'd even consider it her saddest song, which probably sounds crazy. something about the production and the lyrics just feels so lonely and so sad, and not in the fun way that im accustomed to with lana songs lol.

i guess i do like it, but it's not something i can listen to often.
