I want her next one to be something that uses more of those high airy vocals. I love that sound in her Lizzy songs

I really love these two and would love to hear a dark track from them both but idk what theme Marina’s record will be or what Lana’s working on so a collab could be on either one at this point. I think Marina said hers was done but maybe Lana wants her on her album? It’d be cool; she collabed with Stevie which I never expected to actually happen and Sean, John’s son, was what I never knew I wanted but loved hearing because it sounded so similar to John and as close to a Beatles collab she could probably get without Paul

What would you want the Lana & Marina collab to sound like? I think a song like Marina's Power & Control would sound amazing with them both.

l from cover to cover, in the summer, makes me realize how much I love this album. So many songs have much more of an impact on a hot summer day. 13 Beaches, Get Free, Groupie Love, Heroin (what a perfect song for an evening of heat wave): they all are so incredible. Even the more toned-down ones (Change, or White Mustang) are welcomed between two heavier-production songs

Okay but this album better have deluxe edition bonus tracks. Everyone bitched about Guns n Roses and here we are with no extra bonus tracks since UV.... she has enough content and music made

You know, we’re lucky Lana even does yearly/year and a half releases. We could be like Adele stans or Marina stans and only get an album every 4-5 years. Stop bitching, calm the hell down, let her work her magic. She’s got it planned out. She’s writing her record. Let her live and write.

I just don’t understand the concept of getting annoyed that someone is embracing a culture. What’s crazy is in America, there’s so many cultures and so many different cultures in different parts of the country, yet people get offended EVEN IF IT ISNT THEIR CULTURE SOMEONE IS “appropriating”. It’s one thing to try to change a culture and use that as a way to solely make money but it’s another when someone embraces a culture because they artistically find it cool. I think that’s what Lana does, I think she embraces cultures because she has fans of different cultures and she recognizes it. There’s so many people from the UK, South America, the US, Eurasia, etc. She knows this and I think she enjoys traveling the world and experiencing more of the lives of the people in these countries.
 
“Appropriating” is only ever a thing when it’s convenient, I swear. I never hear anyone say anything until it’s convenient for a conversation. That doesn’t go to say it’s not happening, but appropriation of culture =/= embracing a culture

I personally wouldn't want to envision a song with Lana and Halsey together. I feel like they're two completely different flavors. Lana's voice is so serene and penetrating to the soul and idk if I've even heard Halsey's "true" voice yet if that even makes sense.

I think it would be cool if Lana made a rock/grunge album with surf noir atmospheric influences and the aesthetic should be something like @@vodkaa mentioned with the lilac purple, pink and orange.
