What I fucking hate is when she spends the rare time she has on social media to tweet doped up stuff like...oh the sky is nice tonight I wonder how many stars there are. She could literally say ‘album still coming soon everything is fine’ and we would rejoice. But no she is playin with our emotions.

And the punishment she has put us through will come back to her three times as strong when she realizes no one bought the album because we all downloaded a zip folder when it leaked, and now she can't buy her matcha teas or afford studio time with her favorite producers Threefold law is real ladies, just google it

This is like a punishment era. I feel like I'm legit on Lana probation until we get the album on good behavior

Lana Del Rey's Quide on How To Disappear in 5 Easy Steps!

 

Step 1: Release not one, but TWO singles in the same month. This will lift up the hopes of many gays, clinging them to the illusion that a new body of work is to be released shortly.

 

Step 2: Release another single with a half assed selfie as the cover. This will trick some gays into believing it's A R T when in reality, it's just pure laziness.

Step 3: Livestream the fans and tell them you're now delving into the Instagram baddie lyfestyle filled with wheatgrass smoothies, meeting up with white blonde gal pals and wearing snazzy Adidas leggings.

To be honest, I think the last thing her absence did was make anyone's heart grow fonder. Her little cult followers would be just as rabid if she put out a new song every single day, they don't need to miss her to go crazy over everything she does. Her more casual fans probably forgot she even exists. And the rest of us (most of us) are frustrated and disappointed. The overall sentiment seems to be "just give us the damn thing already", and that's not positive in any way.... Lana and her management killed so much of the genuine excitement for this album with how they've handled things. I'm sure we're still going to love the music, but I feel like this whole thing has been ruined for me. And I know many other fans feel this way too

Her « distance » and mystery on social media, with times of absence, kinda helped build her image as an unusual singer, out of the box. She loves that we are filling the blanks with what she gives us and it has helped solidate her fan base.
But! Like I said, when SHE starts a pre-release era, it’s her job to come through sooner than what we have here. And I say that very painfully and with much regrets since I love her with all my heart. I love her art so much, but a crash course 101 on how to promote an album could be a good idea lol.

This is why I deleted my second Instagram account after a second of having it (I think that’s when the stuff with Ben happened), because I kept on seeing more and more fan accounts I follow get backlash for not even venting, but just simply asking, “where’s Lana? we thought the album was done.” It really isn’t too much to ask and it’s common sense for people to be a bit upset that the artist they’re a fan of is all of a sudden MIA when at the very least- they’re usually consistent in showing how enthusiastic they are for the release. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say this is the worst era in terms of promotion. At this point idc if Lana announces something at the end of this month. The bs with her manager and miscommunication through vague updates killed the hype for me.
