I'm so shocked at people comparing this to the likes of Solar Power or L+F, this is her Dawn FM to her After Hours, her Deeper Weel to her Golden Hour. The girls that get it, get it!

Months and months since I lost my account, well I found it...

Well as for Dua Lipa's latest album, I really like it. And it wasn't a win because I didn't like Future Nostalgia which was basic and boring, very 2020, very Covid. She didn't stand out at all and honestly, I didn't follow her.

And then I heard Houdini, and I got closer to her, well I was surprised by the turn and the production with Kevin Parker who I really like.
I told myself that ultimately she was an artist who was involved in her project to make good sounds, and the psychedelic side was interesting because of her vision.

We agree that we are far from the psychedelic side that attracted us here but I recognize that the album is a soothing pop record, personally I needed a record like that.
I mean, it is well produced, soft, summery spring - summer, you want to sip a cold drink in the sun and not think about anything.
It makes me think of the golden days of sunny singles from the 2010s that were played over and over on popular radio, something positive sprinkled with blue and white. The good years, less sad.

Unpopular opinion but I really love the visual which is perfect. The simple but well-layered writing, the simple but beautiful visuals, really beautiful. It’s definitely a summer record that can lift your spirits.
I understand the disappointment of those who expected something more impactful, but deep down I think it's an album that feels good, there's no big pretension, it just says "enjoy the sun, the seasons sunny, warm wind and relax.

I like this album a lot more than I thought I would (and it seems many who expected to love it really don't). Listened on the way to work and it genuinely put me in a great mood. I’m a sentimental sap so of course my favourite is “Happy for You.” I really like “These Walls” too.

“Anything for Love” would’ve been a standout had they not halted it after 2 minutes. Absolutely baffling decision. It switches gears, ready to take you on a glorious odyssey, only for it to just abruptly end. I'm so frustrated with this trend. No trial, straight to the electric chair for that one!

“Houdini” only gets more excellent with time and it deserved a massive video. The ~ lethargically rehearsing with my dancers ~ treatment is such an insult to its potential.

EDIT: "Falling Forever" has me by the neck.

    How loooooooooooooooooooooooooong

I FUCKING LOVE THIS ALBUM WHAT THE FUCK

Houdini is probably the best track, so I think the choice to make it as a lead was perfect. My favorite is Falling Forever, those vocals! End Of An Era, oh what an intro!!! Maria is so damn good! The vibes and the energy! Some parts of the chorus reminded me of Stereo Love's hook.

It's a perfect summer album, I love the summery, beachy and sunshiney vibes with spices and energy of tropical, electronic beats! I can't really comment on the lyrics because I didn't focus on them that much but I love the lyrics for Houdini. This is what I wanted Solar Power to be. Solar Power isn't bad but it lacked the energy and the flavour what Radical Optimism had. I sensed some Tame Impala vibes as well since he was the co-producer of the album but I'm glad that it had only some of his elements because I was kind of scared that it won't be a Dua Lipa-ish album.

I think it's my second favorite. Future Nostalgia is hands down her best album, my favorite of hers and also her most innovative work with all the production, sound and lyrics although I didn't like that it was bloated with that many deluxe editions (didn't it have like 5 deluxe versions). Debut album is definitely classic and also very nostalgic, it had a mixed bag of different sound of pop music from the mid to late 2010s.

Live love laugh, long live Dua Lipa

this album is such a summer album and it's disheartening to see everyone hate on it... not every song needs to be a banger in order for it to be a good album  also kinda sad seeing how many people just automatically hate on a song that's less than 100 BPM

The song leaked a while ago, it isn't about SOPHIE, God I wish it was. I and others even refused to believe it wasn't an AI generated troll song to get us riled up.

i dont see why everyone is so definitive about this song being about lorde, it could be about many people

why do people still think girl is about lorde when it’s obviously about marina
  17. creditcardromancer liked a post in a topic by Lipgloss Twink in Charli XCX
No it leaked months ago, before we even knew the name of the album or of Von dutch's existence. If she had posted it then, we wouldn't have had the AI conversation about it. I can believe she posted it more recently, but we've had a version of it for a while.

My bow just came, and to say I am not satisfied with its quality is a big understatement. It serves cunt when you don't look at it closely, but when you do... just look at the photos. 18$ may not be very much for an American but when converted to my currency it was really expensive. It will just lay on my Lana shrine i guess.

    and it was dirty

I got the zip up hoodie & born to die tank! For reference, I’m usually a small or medium if I want to size up a little.

the hoodie is actually better quality than I thought it would’ve been, It’s decently thick too. I’ve already worn it a couple times times and it’s super comfy. I  washed and air dried it already and I think it will hold up pretty well. It’s a 70% cotton 30% polyester blend but I think it’s still pretty good. I sized up a bit to a large because I prefer my hoodies really big. I probably should have gone with a medium because it’s very long on me but I’m sure it will shrink more in the wash anyways.

I did a comparison to my other LDR village hoodie and  the fest hoodie is WAY better quality. Not sure wtf was up w the LDR village one, but it’s unfortunately it’s such a lint magnet, I don’t have another hoodie that’s this bad. It’s also just not the best quality especially after washing which sucks because I loved the print. I think the old one was more polyester but it didn’t even have a tag or say what the material was so..

I also really like the born to die tank! I also got it in a large because it was the only size left. The sizing is kinda off with it, its smaller than a large usually is so it’s a little big on me but it’s pretty stretchy. It’s 100% cotton which is nice too. I also washed it already but I probably won’t put it in the dryer just so the print doesn’t get messed up. I think my only criticism is that the born to die part sits under my boob area so idk if it’s just me but it kinda seems a little bit of an awkward placement imo. But that could just be because it’s a larger size than what I usually wear.

Overall I was impressed with the merch and its quality this time. It’s definitely a step up from LDR village and would recommend <3

Can u explain how this relates to Taylor? I’m an active Taylor hater and the only thing I know is that she released a boring double album today with lyrics talking about drama no one cares about
