Ever since that big batch of leaks I've been back into hardcore BANKS stanning mode. What About Love has been hitting me so hard, and III has been on repeat since last week. It's truly her finest work, and I'm realizing that it's honestly one of my top favorite albums of all time, up there with Ultraviolence and evermore. Serpentina really tainted my love for BANKS and I'm so grateful for those leaks as they helped guide me back to her. I mean, I've loved her ever since seeing her open on the Kiss Land tour when she only had 6 songs. I shouldn't let one bad album ruin everything.

I will never understand why going back to the sound that your fans like and made you popular is a bad thing. I don't ever want to hear Adele's EDM album or Britney's Jazz album...like what are you all even talking about here? If this was her 7th album with the same sound that would be a problem (see Katy Perry) but she put this sound to rest for 12 years so I don't see how it's tiring or same old.

well we know the 15 songs she wrote were the 12 on froot, wytac, saviour and inha based on the recording list. the fact she went from 7 songs to 4-5 songs in a few weeks implies, to me at least, that she was thinking of writing more for froot rather than having a backlog of songs to use, because using the three she already had and writing 1-2 more songs is more realistic than 4 more songs, especially as it took her two years to write 15 by herself. although I think it would have been cool to have a new song for each 'froot', not that the froots really have much meaning (also it's funny to me all froot songs got a froot but not all electra heart songs got given an archetype)

i hope someone leaks wytac for froot's 10 year anniversary if it's not released. I think inha has the potential to be released due to some of the comments she's made, but we'll see if she's been marina liemandis again. I can't see her pulling out wytac considering we only ever knew it existed because david kosten tweeted the recording list, and until that 'i wrote 15 songs' interview was found we thought it was a demo for forget or something. I'm not sure if we'll get saviour but pairing it with inha as a 'missing' pink (dragon)froot would be cute!

Loll I was just going through my itunes library and realized I never downloaded Cure, I know I was a mainstay on the forum in 2017
 
But I guess I should update and say that GWNF is my favorite Allie album now, and I got to see her during the tour and come backstage and say hi and snap a pic. She recognized me in the crowd too!

Edit: oh and I mentioned that if I had been her opener (my friend opened for her) I would've done a Ladies & Gentleman megamix and she would've ejected me from the building and she laughed and said "I probably would have"

Remembering a couple weeks after this came out, I went to the apple orchard and it was the clearest autumn day… a little warmth from the sun, a cool chill to the breeze, shadows getting a little longer in the late afternoon, and I had this song playing as I was leaving…
 
The country roads, rolling hills and tree-lined farm fields… Ughhh it was Brautumn heaven!

I agree it was the right move but I will die on the hill that stylistically MARINA DIAMANDIS would’ve been better to avoid all the metadata mixups with the billions of other Marina’s and for a carry through of the Diamonds. Plus it reminds us that she’s Greek which she has never actually talked about!

Savages, weeds, Blue are masterpieces, but Solitaire is the top tier for me because i relate to it so much, this song literally taught me the beauty of loneliness and you dont need a squad, a clique or anything to be cool, like this helped me a lot during my high school years...
