I've heard the album was intended for an end of May release for a while now so this tracks 

Album is being turned in within the next 48 hours, according to the Instagram live she just did to celebrate the release  of "Jenny's Got a Boyfriend". That means it's coming in about one month, as that's the usual window required by distributors to process a release on streaming services and digital stores.

At first I gotta be honest, I wasn't too keen on Jenny being a single (although I've always liked it) but the new production is great, and the video is incredible! When their bodies light up I laughed a little but visually the overall product is amazing, certainly one of her best. This was a step in the right direction  
The only thing that was missing was the album pre-order, I was sure it was coming with Jenny but it's not  I guess till next single? (Forever 21 or I Wanna Fucking Call You could be the most likely choices)

For some reason her label isnt letting her release anything right now.
So even if Ayesha did record and send it over, it could be sitting finished and just waiting for release.
 
Meanwhile... Ayesha is doing TONS of features and is going to be in a MV with Aliyah Interlude for the Fashion Icon remix.
Her label really needs to stop holding her back!
 
Speaking of her label, Donatachi just recently signed to them and released a single. So I wonder if he will end up working with her on this new album again.

Okay honestly..... these lyrics feel way less problematic to me than "Look over the edge, but not too far"  but since Annie didn't know SOPHIE ig i can see how people would feel offended

I think she needs something that will thoroughly disturb her comfortability in the industry. Some of her best works came from a sort of challenge (Red to 1989 being her first attempts to do a strong country to pop crossover era, Reputation being a product of her downfall + her Katy Perry feud, and Folklore/Evermore being a product of the pandemic). 
 
Whenever she's comfortable, she starts producing mediocrity such as this one. The marketing is great and I'm sure her visuals will be top notch...but the album itself sucks. Her lyricism here is some of the weakest yet (with the Charlie Puth line being her absolute career worst) and the entire album just sounds so one-note, but in a bad way. The latter issue is a Jack Antonoff issue, but Taylor still gets a bit of blame from me for that since she has some sort of control what she produces with that man. 
 
I'm hoping she considers a genre-shift for the next album. She's getting way too comfortable and I think a challenge will only do her good.
