She's still whining about how people were mean to her during BTD/ UV but she really does everything to provoke it.

No one thinks she's sacrificing homosexuals in the name of Lucifer.... Don't down play the situation by attempting to mock it and make us seem unreasonable. It's a well know Church who does not like gays, supports gay conversion therapy, has a pedophilia past, and doesn't support women's rights over their reproductive systems. Quit trying trying to justify her actions, there is absolutely no excuse. She's literally giving them free promotion with these paparazzi pictures. She's either stupid, or a bitch. There's no other answer

Lets be honest, stan cards aside. Sometimes Lana is the dumbest and most ignorant woman on the Earth.

Lana's interpretation of the song from the harper's bazaar interview:

HB: Your latest single, "hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it" seems very prescient of the time we're in. Where was your head at when you were writing it?LDR: If you read in between the lines so that you're listening carefully, you can tell there's a lot jam-packed into that song. I actually tried to do all my interviews before I released it, so that I wouldn't talk about it, because it's just one of those songs that is really personal to me for a lot of different reasons and that's often how my music is. I jam-pack a lot of Easter eggs, one-liners that only I know what they mean. Throw in couple of phrases that are significant to my group of friends, and then just put it out online and let it live.
But I put a couple of words in there in the last lines about collusion and confusion, and evolution, and perhaps a subtle nod to a bit of the women's movement. Also on a deeper level for me, having reference to family of origin and lineage, karmic lineage, and confusion that gets passed down through generational passages. I was trying to get clarity on a lot of my own stuff by putting it out. Actually the three singles—that, "Venice Bitch," and "Mariner's Apartment Complex"—I just kind of put them out because they were my most personal and I liked them the most. I said to the label, "That's my plan. I'm just putting out the stuff that's 11 minutes and that I want to put out." They were kind of like, "Okay, great."

i found lana at a really formative time and even if i stopped listening to her, i don't think she'd ever really be gone just because she was like The Artist for me for that long you know... she was the first artist that i found on my own, and that i really connected to and i'm so grateful for her. i feel the same way about another artist who i haven't payed attention to in years, he hasn't been active in years anyways, except he did a tour a few years ago that i attended and felt kind of guilty because i know 14 year old me would've been having a way different experience than i did as i am now... but he's still never really been gone from my life, i think people like this will always always have a place in me no matter what :/ my heart still swells when i think of him or lana :') at first i was kind of in a difficult situation because as i grew up i realized how fucked up he was and i didn't know what to do, but idk... the same thing with lana and hillsong and whatever newest thing azealia is up to, i will be very disappointed and frustrated but i recognize that we are all individuals and humans and no one is going to behave exactly like me, and their individuality is why i'm drawn to artists in the first place, but music is part of the soul and i think it's a different connection than to be able to just stop with someone because you don't agree with their actions, ? idk how to phrase this in a way that doesn't sound like i would excuse them because that's definitely not the case but like, idk it's a relationship just as much as with your friends/family/spouse etc.. not all of it is good, and i definitely will be less enthused for a time, but as long as there is a part of them or their music that still speaks to me i'm gonna engage with it and be thankful remembering all of the better things they've made me feel . so long story short yea i'll probably have a lana quote on my grave (and mind you, vegans supposedly live longer, so that wont be anytime soon  ) lmao sorry this was so long

How do you guys interpret the "Hello, it's the most famous woman you know on the iPad // Calling from beyond the grave, I just wanna say 'Hi, dad'"? I might be really stupid, I don't know, but I think of it as something literal - she video calls her dad and Lana, being a celebrity, is the most famous woman he'll see on that tablet screen. And, being depressed and maybe staying in bed all day (a "grave" or "tomb") is like being dead in a way, and she does her best just to call her dad just to hear him, maybe let him soothe her or just to let him know that she's still ok.

I adore everything about this song! Listening to it is like being swept away in a dream? There’s something almost surreal about the aura the song creates? UGH I adore her so much!

kskskksks yes i am a big sylvia stan which i guess creates some bias towards my love for this song, but even then it's still some of her best work. at least lyrically

I'm about to go off but I just woke up and listened to the song and jesus, I am quite literally speechless.
I'm sorry how did Lana go from fucking White Mustang to THIS in the space of just over a year?
These lyrics are absolutely insane, I always knew she was capable of writing like this but now that it's happened I'm just...dead.
And the album cover -- she clearly doesn't give a fuck anymore. In the best way. Everyone was banging on about quitting the LQ single covers but clearly this is the new agenda. Lana is evidently in total control of her image and output and is just trying to make the best art she can. And honestly I'm glad because this song will go down as one of her best of all time.

    anyway.... i'm just dead

    “Happy New Year to everyone.
I hope you enjoy the new song I’m putting out on the ninth
it’s called ‘hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have- but i have it’
Also as of last week I finished a short book of poetry I’ve been writing over the last 13 months that I’ll be putting out later.
In the meantime though I’d like to apologize in advance for upcoming cancellations of shows you’ll be hearing about– I wish I could fulfill those obligations but I won’t be able to
    Thanks

@@Lirazel Try out the Innamoramento album.

Not that I want to discourage you from listening to Monkey Me the album but I find it quite weak compared to Mylène's older stuff, except for such gems as Je te dis tout. And the music video is just beautiful - it teems with references to the beginning of her career which you might not get but I guess it's still worthwhile. (Although I do like the titular song, Quand & Nuit d'hiver. Oh, and also kind of Love Dance because of its absurd lyrics.)

Funny thing is that the same thing happens if you choose yes. I went back cause I was hoping for something more but it was the same scene.

I felt like the concept was interesting, but could been made better. Games like Heavy Rain have utilised the 'interactive movie' premise much better.

I really loved the Colin character, he was so fascinating and charismatic. Too bad I will never see more of him.
