Biting Down is easily in my top 5 Lorde songs.

I'm actually shocked by how boring this song is. Literally every single song in her discography is better than this. It sounds like a Charlie XCX reject. The cover is extremely beautiful tho.
  3. I agree with the theory that the verses are about a man and the chorus is about herself. It makes sense: in the verses she talks about how "cool as heck" her man was and in the chorus she blames herself for ruining the relationship because she was "obsessed with writing the next best american record" and "did it all for fame".
  4. Not to sound like that Graham guy, but for some reason these lyrics remind me of some of the lyrics on Patti Smith's 'Radio Ethiopia' album. Especially the architecture line.
  5. Omg so apparently the first songs she wrote had an early Shangri-La's and Joan Baez influence. That's literally all I want from Lana, I wish she would've kept that sound even though I love 'Love'.
  6. Apparently it doesn't count if you mute Spotify, but I don't think you'll be able to hear anything if you turn the volume down as low as you possibly can without muting it. Also according to this, it does count if you put the song on repeat: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Partners-Windows-Phone-etc/What-counts-as-a-stream/td-p/1212623
  7. I think Alex Turner, Lykke Li, Father John Misty and Cat Power would be amazing. But honestly, I'll probably be happy as long as it isn't Marina or The Weeknd again.
  8. I seriously doubt Lana is going to collaborate with Ariana Grande, but even if she does it would be on Lana's premises and I'm sure it would be great. Nick Cave didn't suddenly start making dance pop because he collaborated with Kylie Minogue, and I'm sure it will be distinctively Lana no matter who she collaborates with.
  9. I honestly think this is slightly delusional. I don't think the members of Lanaboards (or the messy twitter/instagram fans for that matter) are a very good representation of the average Lana fan. I think it's pretty clear that the majority of Lana's fans are straight girls and I even know plenty of straight guys that enjoy her music. It's true that many of her most passionate and obsessive fans are gay, but that goes for most female artists.
  10. did she say in 5 minutes omfg?
  11. https://www.instagram.com/p/BQrh9I9jYTd/ Yaaaaaaas! I literally died when I saw this.
  12. Ronnie Spector - lead singer of the Rosettes - also recorded "Don't Worry Baby"!
  13. I want a duet with Marianne Faithfull or Yoko Ono, something like this would be amazing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLhQehn7sOk
  14. I'm pretty sure it's actually "head games".
  15. I'm screaming! She's so beautiful she just turned me straight. Someone call Mike Pence.
  16. No it's true. Lana didn't want any bonus tracks but for some reason her label thought the album would be easier to sell with a deluxe edition.
  17. Okay obviously Black Beauty wasn't added as a bonus track just because fans wanted it. It was added as a bonus track because it was intended as a single from the original album and because it - apparently - was very important to Lana, she even said she had ideas for a music video for it. Yeah... the title Your.Girl is censored because everybody was asking for it.
  18. I just love the line "I stayed up waiting, anticipating and pacing". It just flows so well
  19. Exactly this! We don't need a situation like when Annie Lennox covered Strange Fruit. An interviewer asked her what the song was about and she said that the theme was "universal" and she didn't even mention racism or lynching... truly an embarrassing mess. I would totally be here for a Joan Baez cover tho. She should cover Prison Trilogy, especially this verse is important: "Luna was a Mexican the law called an alien For coming across the border with a baby and a wife Though the clothes upon his back were wet Still he thought that he could get Some money and things to start a life"
  20. Watch her continue her string of Nina Simone covers with a cover of Mississippi Goddamn
