going through a journey of david lynch's filmography and just watched lost highway
the entire time i was just like wtf is going on but i've come to expect with lynch films that it's best to take it all in and ask the questions later.
the soundtrack was amazing, as was the visuals and patricia arquette was so fucking gorgeous throughout the whole thing it was insane. like i've never seen such an aesthetically gorgeous female character in a film until i saw her in this. the movie was good but i still prefer mulholland drive over everything. best film ever made.

i actually don't mind the singer/songwriter route she's been going with since nfr; she's great at ballads and blue banisters is in her top 4 of albums. people just need to let go and accept that we're never going to get another born to die or ultraviolence (as much as i would die for it) due to the fact that she's in her mid 30s and those albums are very heavy in terms of depressed youthful angst and she's now a happy grown woman (if that makes sense).

This got 7 likes but why did the majority trash Every Rule… imo that is one of AG’s most beautifully produced songs. 

- in brooklyn baby, the entire final chorus when the male voice comes in with hers (also the da da da da da vocals leading up to it with the heavenly instrumental)
- in nfr title track, the 2nd chorus has this little *twinggg* in the background almost like out of a disney movie, everytime i hear that i smile
- in text book, the outro of "old man river keeps rolling"
- in heroin, when she yells out "it's fucking hot! hot!" (honestly the entire 2nd half of that song)
- when the synth comes in on west coast
- the entirety of the other woman (best cover to exist)
- in honeymoon title track, "dreaming away your life"
