This album feels like 2013 in the best way. I can hear how it originally would have sounded

I hope Taylor does speak up, and the hashtag seems to be making headlines which is good. It is true that her reach is extremely big and also extremely influential. Juxtaposing this with the Miss Americana clips where she says she doesn’t give a fuck what the President thinks of her, and that it’s her responsibility to use her voice over issues in America, her silence has been disappointing - not just over Palestine but political issues in general. I feel like the times she’s spoken up are few and far between, just the occasional ‘Go vote’ and not even promoting a specific candidate or party sometimes 

i wouldn't mind if she addressed it on stage. i don't really care about celebrities speaking out on these issues, but at the same time, Ariana's insta story raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, so the most famous person in the world saying a few quick words could do more good than you would think. I just know Tree is shaking in her boots rn 

thinking about it more, and while I won’t care if she doesn’t speak up. I think she should.
Also why hasn’t Taylor spoken up yet. We know she attended some Palestine charity thing back in 2023 December. But that’s it.

she hasn’t actually said she’s doing a ‘proper’ b-sides album, she just said:
 
"Firstly, the fans don't know it yet--I guess once they read this interview, they will--I am releasing a lot of my demos that won't make it to the album & playing them at my shows & DJ sets. Just to show that there are a lot of tracks that don't make it-not because they're bad (in fact, some of them are really good), it's just that they don't fit with the record. I'm into the idea of this massive amount of material being out there, saturating the fan base with all of these things that could have possibly happened.”

i hope she gets better soon but i'll never get over her going to (and hosting) all those pool parties in 2021 and getting covid several times (i did wonder if her chronic fatigue was linked to long covid tbh)

imo the song would have been better received had she not used the most generic mainstream production for it, she only sings 6 words in ‘yes no okay’ and it’s much more interesting to listen to than the snoozefest of in the city. but maybe we should let the in the city discourse be.
