Before when she'd post I'd get excited that she was finally active on Insta...but now it's come to me immediately thinking "Oh God here we go"

I think she got cut off from her parents money in NY. They probably didn’t 100% support her music career and she was leading her life in a way they saw as damaging.
 
I do think her parents had money, but she didn’t when she was living in NY. Especially considering her $15k credit card debt.

k, i'm incredibly confident and secure with myself. i'm still allowed to feel shamed by others words. i'm still allowed to have emotional reactions to others actions.

I feel like some of you aren't understanding that she could have done this without name-dropping and shaming female artists of color. She says "wearing no clothes, fucking" like their negative things. That's at least how I perceived it. As someone who is becoming a sex worker, hearing her say those things was a real punch to my self-esteem, especially coming from my favorite artist. I don't want to feel shamed and I know I'm not the only one who felt shamed and de-powered.

let's remember that not all millennials are liberal. and urban outfitters hippie? you mean a major music label and major fashion brand collaborated to make more profit because they know the demographics of the people who will buy her albums and buy their clothes. had nothing to do with who she is, but more of who the label wants to sell her as. she's a white woman from an affluent family who acted like someone she's not. you know why she's a matcha drinking, soul cycle baddie? that's who she's always been. she got tired of the act. i think some parts of her persona were real, don't get me wrong, but just because she vapes, did drugs, and talks about her pussy, does not make her a liberal, nor does it make her conservative.

1. Apparently, the venue had known since Monday.
2. She was seen out and about between Tuesday and Thursday - she even FaceTimed a fan.
3. The tour leg was cancelled on Friday, via a very brief email.
4. It's now Monday. She hasn't put anything on social media, and nor have either of her managers.
 
Absolutely nobody is suggesting that she should be performing whilst sick. It's about how it was handled.

We are not ‘butt hurt’. Being butt hurt implies that we are unjustifiably upset, and obviously we have every reason to be.
If she were so devastatingly sick, I doubt that she didn’t know earlier. Cancelling last minute and completely disappearing is plain rude.
No one is blaming her for being sick (which we are not sure of anyway), we are reprimanding how she handled the situation. But it’s ok, I was like you, I used to be in denial refusing to admit when she did anything wrong and I’m assuming that you’re not as affected by the cancellation as many of us are

Agreed. I don't think I'd pay for another concert ticket again - the only thing that would push me is peer pressure tbh. When £60 is the least amount you can spend on tickets, it's ridiculous to view the tickets as payment just to be in her presence. You're paying for a show. No one expects (or wants) her to put on a show with costume changes and high energy dance routines, but the passion and effort that was there in her earlier tours isn't an unreasonable thing to want or expect. The email with her statement is so disheartening too. There's a reason people are speculating that she's not actually ill. She doesn't seem to care about performing anymore if it's not the hollywood bowl
