Yes! When she was rubbing her legs and then just innocently looks up to the camera
I'm going to use that trick when I wanna seduce a hot guy

I feel glad watching this video, it looks like what Lizzy Grant would have released if she had the possibility to do it. I am happy that she finally can make her dreams and visions come true.
It is actually more a song about girls than boys, it's the This Is What Makes Us Girls 2.0.
Lana depicts herself as an almost non-human beautiful creature, it gives me also Maha Maha teas. She puts on her music when watching the boys to lure them in just like a siren. It's an ode to carnal enjoyment and appreciation of the human body beauty. Do you remember the poem she read during Tropico about how the body is beautiful but is also the soul?

Darlin' little queens do you know what you're worth?
I'll tell you everyday till you get it, girl
    It's all gonna happen

I liked how every time she sang "sent to destroy" they showed some kind of flower I think it's supposed to represent her vagina and how she uses it to destroy men Also the way the last shot of the video was of one of the water nymph's crotch.

I really really love it. It's one of Lana's strongest and most memorable videos since Tropico.

The way she used color was very interesting. The B&W scenes empazied the gorgeous colours in siren-esque cult underwater scenes so much.

There is not alot of plot but Lana's perfection and her playful nature throughout the video makes up for it in spades. It's really refreshing and reminds me of her Lizzy Grant days. In fact the video feels like a highly produced version of some of aka videos especially Brite Lites...

I have no grudge against the video tbh but if I were to nitpick I'd say the pink flamingo scene went on to long. She could've added some of those tacky pink flamingo statues in the scenes were she was in the sun lounge.

All in all tho a great video tbh

This article remarks that the Music to Watch Boys to Video was inspired by the unfinished Clouzot film "L'enfer" https://i-d.vice.com/en_au/article/ogle-cute-dudes-with-lana-del-rey

Off topic, but something I've always wanted to discuss IS her chipped tooth, it's the outer edge on the left top front tooth.

I've always found it endearing AF, I've noticed it since some 2007 photos of her, don't know if it's been that way since before then or what is the story behind it.

But it's very easy to smooth a chip like that out or apply a veneer cap to round/even it out, and I just love how she hasn't done either.

It adds character to her smile imo, does anyone know how it happened or an earlier date than 2007 showing it?

I don't get why tho.. It's kinda stupid. Shouldn't we have them on the release date when we've pre-ordered it?

    It will be our Swanson
    It will be our Swanson
    It will be our Swanson
    It will be our Swanson

I know the correct lyrics but I can't help but hear this

It kinda bothers me. Ron Swanson will be on my mind a lot more from now on I guess.

I feel like we wouldn't be as disappointed with the B&W if she hadn't shared those pics of her with pretty glitter on her face and the colorful costume and flowers and shit.

Yep, super weird. The only things that come to mind when I think of pink flamingos:

    - the film by John Waters/the amazing Divine
    - kitsch (like plastic flamingo lawn ornaments)
    - flamingos are odd creatures that usually stand, in water, on one leg, and no one really knows why.

What any of this has to do with the song is beyond me, but I kind of love it too?

    Tell it to Lana, thanks.
    What is this, the BBC?

Anyway, thou desperate forum members who have figuratively consummated their Oedipus complexes possess nary an iota of coolheadedness.

The only upside to insomnia is when Lana releases something in the middle of the night.

The guitar, the hairbrush, the goofy 'kind of pretending to play an imaginary guitar', the smiles, the spinning gramophones...

    She's such a weirdo. I love it.

Yeah she's definitely on the throne.  But then there is part where she's underwater too.  I doubt it means anything though -- they could use that as some bs point about even a queen has her moments of uncivility, etc. too.  I don't think there's much to the story at all.

I'm disappointed none of the guys are playing guitars or anything.  Basketball is so overused and they show a skateboard once.  The male silhouettes could have been done better in some places.

I also agree with the color, even if it were some more high contrast pink scenes (to mix with the blue water ones) it would have made it a lot more artistically interesting.  I would have added another scene or something in the bridge too to cut it up.

I'm nitpicking though, it's a fun video that reminds me of early LDR/Lizzy-era mixed with the LDR we all know and love.  Thumbs up.

FACIAL ATTRIBUTES ASIDE [coughs]... does anyone else think that Lana is sort of playing into the "Lonely Queen" archetype again? Like, here she is in paradise, watching the boys and the girls on a wide screen, listening to music and apparently observing flamingos, but everything is black and white because the paradise she's trapped in is lonely and cold. She's spent so long playing the boys with the tricks of the girls that she truly has no one. She doesn't know how to love a boy anymore. But the girls are the only glimmer of light because they have lies akin to her own and they understand. That's why I think parts of the video are black and white.

And playing into the "sinister" descriptor... maybe the sinister vibe I see comes from the fact that playing with boys' hearts is all she has left. All she can do now is observe and manipulate, so she makes it fun and smiles a bit.
