Feeling quite conflicted right now about the album. Like it doesn't make sense at all for the moment.

Ok, maybe not "trash" but at least NFR doesn't have lyrics such as "I'm a sad girl, i'm a sad girl, I'm a bad girl, i'm a bad girl" 

How it all started almost a year ago and now we're getting so close to listening to this masterpiece
 

Okay everyone, I see you.

 

Just know I really am doing my hardest to be on top of things the best I can right now. It may not look like it, but I really am. That's why I had to snap up from my recovery and heavily attend to the site yesterday, and will be doing so intently from this moment on. I understand your frustrations of the site being understaffed, and I will look into adding some additional mods, especially since traffic will be heavy. For everyone who has been facing issues prior to this, I apologise. I really am going through something very serious and I am both physically and mentally unwell. I do my best to do what I can, but at this very moment in time it is hard considering I haven't even left my room in weeks and even the simplest of everyday tasks such as eating or moving around has become an immense struggle. 

 

LanaBoards is always in my mind throughout all of this though, and I will be doing my best to attend to it the best I can midst my recovery. I know some of you are frustrated about mod queues and banishments, and there are always solutions. First, I should remind you all that the LanaBoards Rules are always present under the Help & Support section to review at any time. Additionally, any members who joined after I became the owner were given a link to the Rules & Posting Guide in their Welcome PM to review before beginning to post. You all know and have known asking for & linking leaks is against the rules, we go through this every album cycle. Unreleased leaks are treated a bit differently, but we take Officially Released Content leaks very seriously. Not only that, but the rules still stand after the album is released too. This is a LEGAL issue. It is ILLEGAL to host or share any unauthorized links to content that is officially released for purchase or streaming. LanaBoards is NOT a hub for illegal activity. This is a piracy issue. I have to always take steps to protect the site as I can. Also, someone made a good point in an earlier post that this site is free for you all. I do not charge you all anything to be members, and pay for all of the costs myself, willingly, because I want you all to have a fun and safe environment to discuss our favourite artist. Again, I do the best I can, but I cannot deny that it is especially hard for me at this point in time.

Due to my health status, I am on a medical leave from my full-time job, so I will have more time to attend to LanaBoards, especially during this tumultuous time leading up to the album release. As I said earlier, I will also look into on boarding additional staff.

 

A note about those warned and banned, those who were banned have reached out. I will be communicating with them to review their situation and see if a compromise can be found. But again, after this point, there WILL be no exceptions. I feel like I shouldn't have to remind you all of the rules every time an album release comes around as the Rules are always up to review, and it is just common sense.. again this isn't just a LanaBoards rule, this is a LAW. Piracy. C'mon guys. You should know better. LanaBoards is a source for DISCUSSION, not for illegal activity. I have to protect the site, as I am the one who hosts and pays for it to continue to run, and am therefore at the forefront of core responsibility.

Also, I do advise everyone to use spoilers if you're sharing content about the album for the benefit of other users who want this to continue to be a safe space to share hype about the album during this pre-release stage. As well, Lana uses her voice in a way that sounds as she was deeply drugged during most of the recordings -which I think may be actually the reason behind it-. She sings as she doesn't care at all, as if no one is listening to her, and I think that makes the album absolutely special. This has nothing to do with anything she's done before, not even her Lizzy songs. I'm really willing to read the reviews by the big media critics. I guess they won't know how the fuck react to this album either.

Hey. Finally sucumbed and gave it a listen. The level of sadness in the album... She sounds like she is absolutely gone from this world, just looking at it through a blurry periscope. Don't know if I may be the only one getting this feeling towards it, but it may be  -if not the- one of the saddest musical projects I've ever listened to. I'm even happy that she's been hanging out with her baddie friends for a year and taking some distance from the things that made her produce this heartbreaking and beautiful thing. I wasn't ready for this. And I'm willing to see what the media that has done fun of her "sadness" till now will have to say about NFR.

well, living in a world where people are starving makes me embarrassed, not listening to an album by a rich alternative singer

The lack of structure in most NFR tracks is literally killing me, I don't care if it's "innovative" it's literally infuriating.

The leaks were expected, since THIS is their security system... I don't think that girl is really the one to blame.
It was pretty much inevitable

not complaining but has someone noticed little things on the production? there are parts in some of the songs i feel like the production breaks loud at the same time that her voice and i can't hear her (her diction i think) properly, and the other thing is that in 2 or 3 songs i've noticed the chorus breaks without any transition and i think it doesn't sound good, im ok with it but just asking

So just no promo at all. lol well let’s be honest, that was her plan anyways.
