For the uncertified trolls who think they're cool for a) being on this website for longer and/or b) spending way too much money to see her, they clutch their pearls at whatever makes them seem good and full of positive vibes, e.g. criticizing lana for anything ever. For the certified trolls a la the blue turnip, it's whatever will get a rise. Either way it's way too online, hypocritical, and pathetic. At least the blue turnip could be seen as performance art.

I don't think she's going off the rails, but I do think it's bad for an alcoholic to be drinking beer.

That discussion was ended by a moderator. But thanks for coming in here just to kick me some more. Appreciated.

There is a difference between expecting something to happen and wanting something to happen. One person taking another's words and twisting them doesn't make the sentiment true. I wish nothing but the best for Lana.

To everyone I offended or upset: I unreservedly apologise. I fucked up. I'm fucked up. Sorry.

    Peace. Love. Later <3

you're totally entitled to your opinion and I don't want you to think I'm coming for you but I just think it doesn't matter how recently someone joined this site for them to be entitled to their opinion. it seems kind of arbitrary..

I'm genuinely pleased that your particular drinking issues have moved from being a problem, to you being able to drink socially, while keeping control. I do want to take issue with the idea that addicts who insist on total sobriety are being 'delicate'. For many of us, that look in eyes of our friends when they see that first beer in our hands, is because they know that times are just about to to get very very dark indeed, and that there's at least a year to come of chaos, job loss, relationship destruction and personal devastation. None of this is down to being 'judgy' or pc - just down to experience.

For what it's worth, I don't really think there should be limits on what can be speculated on. There are topics I personally won't speculate on because i'm either uninterested or think it feels invasive, but an aspect of fame is that you are a spectacle and people will analyse your life. If we start regulating it where do we draw the line? Everyone has has different boundaries and values. Would a zero tolerance speculation policy help or ultimately lead to a dead forum? I'm not really sure, but i'm confident that if this kind of discussion didn't happen on lb it'd happen on twitter or somewhere else. I guess I would recommend deciding where your personal line for speculation is and disengaging from topics that cross it.

Ok we need to remember Barrie was constantly drinking around her when they were together.
There are many alcoholics who are not bothered by being in the vicinity of booze, they are used to saying no so there isn't much a temptation unless they hit an emotional low point.

I hate how she and especially her fandom push this romanticised "the other woman" narrative. If you are aware that your lover is cheating on his/her partner you are just as disgusting as the cheater himself.

Yeah, I mean, if I read that exchange blind and didn't know who it was about, I would infer that that person was trying to say without explicitly saying it that they had been abused as a child, and probably by a family member or in some way that implicates a family member. And even knowing who said it I'm not sure that isn't the correct inference to make.

This interview makes me feel kind of uncomfortable. I am not saying she was abused as a child or anything and I don't have an opinion about this topic only by reading this one interview, but it's just giving me a strange feeling and makes me think about her love for Nabokov, the fascination with the Lolita story and the teeange alcohol addiction

I love the questions but most of her answers make me want to go drown myself in a fountain, honestly.

She purposely went after the critic on social media thinking she was a ... small journalist? Knowing that 957435908730958079 fans would come for her? Yikes.

    I ... uh ... Pamela?

Yes, you're only looking directly at the camera and you wear those shorts and shoes everywhere and get papped in them all the time, but 'k, Lanz.

This may be unpopular, but in my opinion, it shouldn't. People are paying money and she shouldn't be bringing her bad mood to a show. Last night, for example, it was painfully obvious that she was in a bad mood. I get that she's a human being, but she's only on stage for an hour and she needs to suck it up.
