Doesn't count, but it's another major publication calling the album a masterpiece.

I don't doubt there are people on Pitchfork's staff who want to give it a 9, but their opinions don't really matter that much. Those at the very top that make the final decision will play it safe because Lana is still a polarizing figure. They wouldn't dare to go with an outrageous score. Expect a modest Best New Music score.

My dad called me and says he’s listened to a few songs. “I listened to the song with a curse in the title. Actually the album title has a curse word in it too! Her voice is amazing as always, it’s very good.”

My interpretation of The Greatest is that planet earth it's on its final hours and it's going to fucking explode a la Doctor Who season 1 episode 2 teas and she's looking back at how great her life on that planet was while she's on a rocket on her way to mars, which is now colonized by humans

"Don't leave me I just need a wake up call" every year we get warnings from the planet itself regarding how poorly we're treating it, from tsunamis to earthquakes to fires, and in that line she sings about wanting just one more so humanity will finally realize how serious global warming and climate change is and how we should start to take action.

My thoughts exactly, but if I had to choose between another Rick album and another Jack album, I'd pick the latter. I do think Jack is quite versatile as a producer, so I hope that if he in fact produces WHF wow it'll take me a while to get used to this acronym lol, they'll go for a somewhat different sound/vibe.

To be honest, as much as I love NFR (and I do, what a glorious return to form!), overall it's still a bit too stripped-back for me and I would have loved to have a few more of the experimental, "explosive" songs like Venice Bitch and (the later half of) Cinnamon Girl, so that's something I wouldn't mind getting from another potential Jack-produced album.

I'd also love to hear more songs produced by Andrew Watt, I think with Doin' Time he managed to capture a quite playful, uptempo vibe that sounded new and fresh while still being undeniably "Lana"; it actually reminded me of some of her unreleased bops from the early 2010s.

It kind of really concerns me that she (still) finds being told no to be so off-putting. Taking constructive criticism personally is not a place you wanna be, especially as a creative.

I love what she did with Jack on NFR but I'm not sure if I'm happy that WHF will probably be another Jack-album. I think the collaboration with different producers always brought out the best of her (see Ultraviolence) and I'd love her to move on to someone else.

In case anyone cares, I was at the pop up for the last three days and here's some random info I gathered from the organizers, designers, security, employees, and Chuck (lol). Some useful and some irrelevant:

    - The pop up was confirmed on Tuesday so the crew had 3 days to work on the shop, which is why it was open late every day
    - Different merch came at different times because of the above reason, so designs would get approved by lana at different times and still needed to print
    - They wanted to do so much more with the pop up but Interscope didnt give them enough time. The organizer told me they wanted to do a wall of vintage TVs with all of lana's videos playing
    - Lana hasn't come any of these days, but probably will on Monday
    - The organizer told me that some of the merch at this pop up is going online for a few days only, as well as some new merch. These will not be tour merch, as they're designed by a different company, not Live Nation. So they'll be a LDR store exclusive. They created another site for it, but yall will see the link when they tweet it. I went to the link and it asks for a password so yall arent missing anything yet
    - The line moves so slow. The capacity inside is 400 but the line would get to over 100 people by 11 am/noon and gets worse as the day goes on. They only let the first 30 in at a time, then like 5-10 people every 30 minutes. people were passing out because it was so hot and they weren't being let in and it got to like 700 people in line at one point
    - We told Chuck to tell Lana that NFR is her magnum opus! And Chuck said she wants to tweet about all the inspiration and meaning in the album cover because its "very particular"
    - We also told Chuck that Lana needs more monologues and she told us she loves lana's monologues and wants to do more
    - Chuck said that the NFR video is longer than the two minutes we got lol
    - Chuck also told us when the NFR video is coming and the third song in the 3 part video!

    ok bye yall
