I think people's main gripe with taylor's variants is she adds one new thing to them, charli hasn't done this, she's just got brat and brat deluxe, taylor has her album (and her deluxe) then +1 different thing on each instead of just dropping an acoustic album / demo album.
edit: people aren't upset about her releasing the same album on a different colour vinyl, it's the adding of one new track so people can't have all the acoustics/demos/whatever on one cd.

She's just very insecure and greedy there is literally no other way to describe it. It's pathetic and it makes her so called "success" feel inorganic and desperate—and ironically it's all at the expense of other female artists. It's worrisome how she doesn't seem to be concerned about a potential collective fatigue too.
 
It's also quite hilarious considering that she's doing the most to what's already an overlong album that was met with mixed/tepid reviews. The lack of quality control is truly astonishing. I was a casual listener of her earlier work, but she's become this unbearable, insane egomaniac and the music isn't even worth fussing about.

i didnt see bon jovi releasing 3 different voice notes to try and claim album sales idk & i’m pretty sure it was only a thing when charli was nearer to #1

but it will. it happens time and time again and the only recurring factor is taylor purposely releasing random & irrelevant variants just when another artist is on the cusp of one-upping her on the chart. it’s just crazy to me that someone who preaches about feminism and being a 'girls girl' will go to those lengths to block other women from getting their flowers at the top spot. it also irks me that she puts on the i’m relatable taylor! schtick when she is quite literally a billionaire putting on a front to milk as many pennies as she can out of her fans. it’s just created this unenjoyable atmosphere of 'X artist is the best because they sold X records' instead of actually caring about artistic output and the quality of their work. it also means artists like lana don’t get the recognition they deserve in the form of grammies (which i know don’t matter, but it would be so validating for lana)

Its one thing if zombie stans want to try to force a number one for another week themselves by buying the albums again or whatever, but the absolute desperation and insane amount of greed Taylor continues to exhibit..... for what? To just make a tweet that says yay we got number one again another week and move on to the next 56 albums coming out next week?
 
I've just never seen a single artist stoop to such baffling, pathetic, calculated lows to intentionally exploit not only her fans but the entire industry inside and out just to break arbitrary records. And how does seemingly no one in the mainstream public / media see right through her shit and call it out for what it is? Its just egregious.
 
When does the UK chart week end? I dont know how that chart works.
I'd be interested to see if Charli / her team tries to respond with something to secure the number 1 or if in true brat fashion she just doesnt give a shit about the chart placement and will just end up saying something bitchy about it later on lol.

When I saw this thread I genuinely thought we got The Other Side and the Mp3 file but no  but the lyrics are nice though
