MXDH for Best Taste? AND Biggest Lana Hater... that basically means this is an anti-Lana Del Rey forum!

Love Song not making it into the Top 50

Today I listened to AFFA and I didn't remembered the track being SO boring and repetitive it's not Top 10 unreleased material at all imho

Fine China made it into the Top 50, poetic masterpiece

I'm sad to see White Mustang go. For me it was always a highlight of the record.

    So... let's begin!

I'm really sorry for delaying this so much. November-December 2019 was the busiest period of my life, I barely had time to be home! Anyway, I'll post the ranking in parts, so everytime I post you guys have to comment anything for me to continue.

Around 100 people submitted their ranks, so this shall be fun!

The Very Bottom: Stop Collabing, Bi**h!

    125. "Don't Call Me Angel" (with Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus) (2019)
Without a doubt, the most laughable Lana Del Rey project ever released. Not only we're before the weirdest, most random, very worst song of her career this decade, but also her worst collaboration and, most importantly, worst soundtrack. Is there anything left for it?

    124. "God Save Our Young Blood" (with Borns) (2018)
Another unfortunate collaboration with a pop singer.

    123. "Guns and Roses" (2014)
This Ultraviolence bonus track received hate from fans the instant it saw the light of the day. Be it its monotone chorus or extremely sleepy vocals (even for a Lana song), "Guns and Roses" is officially Del Rey's worst original solo song of the 2010s.

PARADIXO's commentary: I can see why people don't like it, but I still believe she has worse tracks. The production and its bridge are amazing.

    122. "Woman" (with Cat Power) (2018)
    Really, Lana, stop collabing.

    121. "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" (2015)
The last song from Honeymoon is so bad for most Lana fans that they pretend "Swan Song" is the actual album closer. Beyond opinions, it is a fact that this is her worst cover ever. Poor Nina Simone!

The ultimate, decade-end LDR ranking is coming TODAY!

What do you guys think will be the ultimate favorite?

Will the NFR! acclaim translate well on this forum?

Will the now retrospectively loved Honeymoon reign?

Will the entire Lust for Life tracklist sit at the very bottom of the list?

I LOVE Tyler and i think i'd die if they ever did a song together

I think it’s pretty obvious Lana’s working with Jack again on this project but here’s my list of producers I’d love for her to work with at some point, on this record or on future projects

•Tyler The Creator - He seems to be friendly with her. She performed at his Camp Flog Knaw festival a few years ago and I love his production style. I don’t think she needs his hip hop beats but i do feel like he know what he’s doing when he makes sick instrumentals and sick music.

•Kevin Parker/Tame Impala - His vibe. His sound. I would absolutely love hearing news that they’re working together on something, especially if it’s in the vein of his Currents album or even his new album. This for some reason seems unlikely... but i’d love to hear the sound

•SOHN who works with BANKS on some of her stuff. I feel like he’d do a really good job at mixing Lana’s vocals with trip hop beats, especially those high vocals

I don’t think he would have anything to do with this project. He’s too busy coming up with melodies for Lana to write to on her next album and working on two or three other projects as well. I really don’t think he’d have time to do anything with this (although it’d be cool if Rick would do some small instrumentals for the background...)Especially bc he’s mainly a producer and music mixer, there are audio teams who work on mastering and mixing solely audiobooks

This is disappointing, I really wasn't surprised when I saw the tweet, hopefully in this time she can work more on her craft, and hopefully she'll work on maybe adding instrumentals and perfect the album into a unique work of art. But lately I've become skeptical if Lana would actually be willing to give it her all. If anything I'm just hoping she does her best work for LDR7. I'd say NFR was a huge improvement from LFL and I'd love to see her expand on NFR's laidback, acoustic sound but I wanna see her work with someone else. I try to see the positive side of any situation but I feel like Lana is really losing her touch. Let's just hope that Violet is a beautiful, cohesive project, and LDR7 expands on the momentum that NFR has. Sigh. Stream AKA and leak Serene Queen. I'm bored.

This would be cool, i still dream of the demo version of NFR that she sang on live one time. Weirdly, when i sing the title track I usually change the second “your head in your hands as you color me blue” in the second chorus to “your head in your hands you think you’re Norman fuckin’ Rockwell too” bc it fits and i feel like it should’ve been the lyrics (even though there’s no proof that she ever had that lyric in mind ever hahaha)

I was about to write something like "blah blah I don't think it would have fit anyway" but it would've been a great addition. Potentially her team don't want to complicate it further for the Grammy campaign.
Would love "NFR! - The Antonoff Edition" deluxe pressing with additional takes, demos and acoustics with bonus tracks. Don't think its popular enough though loooool

    I’m having déjà-vu...
But then again, she didn’t ask to be robbed.
At least we now know for sure that it’s Violets she was talking about.

Disappointing. Not unexpected. Reasonable considering the theft. Considering Lana . . . not surprising!
