These photos really do her justice, she looks so beautiful in the timeless old Hollywood way we expect but with a new/unique take… if that makes sense. Kind of an Audrey Hepburn slay etc etc. Excited about the visual direction for her and can’t wait to set aside a few mins to read the full interview 

I feel like her saying "two more singles/songs this year" was too specific to not be a planned rollout.
Of course plans could have changed and time is ticking but if she wasn't sure she would have just said some vague thing like "there's more stuff coming" or something 
 
I'll be half delulu until mid November... if we don't have anything by that time I'll just assume we're getting out first Lasso taste next year 

The genre is featured across many mediums like movies, theatre and music. Basically, from from I read about, it’s all about living in the south of the USA, including all that is weird, bizarre, dark and forbidden. Criminality, witchcraft, malformed beings, the world of the spirits, satanic cults, religious themes could all be on said songs (and the most « extreme » themes). It can also be about forbidden sexuality, family lines, tight-knit communities, small-town vibes, going to church, etc. I don’t know any other artist who is Southern Gothic except Ethel Cain like you mentioned (I really like her but can’t bring myself to listen to all of her songs, some are way too dark for me  But Preacher’s Daughter has some amazing tracks that aren’t too dark)
 
If the rumour is true, Zodiac being very dark in tone could be a great transition between OB and Lasso (if it’s coming at some point haha).

She crazy. Everything she's said is rubbish. Particularly tired of that nepotism bullishit. Lana's dad was a copywriter at Grey Group. 
 
Maybe she should focus on releasing a new album since the last one (Broke with Expensive Taste, was it?) came out a decade ago. Idiot. 
 
As for Lasso, clearly there are delays and let's not move for nothing. But I'm going to think that this big gap is a good thing, because it means Lana is not winging it. It took ages for NFR to come together, maybe it's the same story with Lasso.

Well if what molly posted is for lasso/lana, we did have that one twitter insider who said she would shoot a MV for a single during fall  either way I won’t be moving till something actually drops

This is like that Sheridan situation during the COCC era which if I remember right turned out to be nothing. It’s so so dry and bleak rn.

If we lower our expectations a bit then it will be much more enjoyable when she does release something I think!

In a couple of years, I hope we have a complete and definitive backstory of what happened with this album, what went on behind the scenes. It would be very interesting for sure

The way this thread’s been a bit awkward’s kinda sending me 

the joke about the 2 singles being the tough remixes never fails to make me laugh
but i’m starting to believe it more and more every day

The fact that NFR had its lead singles 11 months before the album and snippets from every song but one it's what made it an awful rollout (up until the summer).
 
Lasso is annoying cause we had a casual announcement and even an approximate date and nothing happened (and her latest reaction to any album mention doesn't help) but it hasn't really started yet... as long as we don't have any music out I'd consider it just an in between albums period (with a bit of extra annoyance).
 
The proper Lasso era could start and end in the next 6 months and I wouldn't even be surprised 

during NFR at least we had snippets and 2 iconic singles at the very start of the era, plus she was touring..  lasso era is horrendous so far 

I think it already did... 

Tunnel and Honeymoon remain the smoothest rollouts, yet. Lasso may rival - and even surpass - the angst filled NFR rollout

she’s a human not a machine! Plus, every single era since NFR she has said she’s burnt out/lacking inspiration and then proceeds to release a full album. I think she deserves to take a break for once, and she isn’t even taking that much of a break, we just got a brand new single/video 3 months ago. Most artists 10+ years in the game are releasing their 4th or 5th album, she’s already on her 10th album so I don’t care if she’s not in a rush to release. It’ll come when it comes.

the longest we have waited for a lana album was between lust for life and nfr - which was only 2 years.
ocean blvd came out a year and a half ago. i just really don't understand the complaints for this delay... girl just got married. like we need to relax. 

I kind of hope she's changed the name. At this point the word Lasso just brings annoyance Imagine if she announces the album with a whole new name. All of our theories would start fresh. Even better if she announced the new title, release date and first single all at once A total rest and closest thing to a surprise we'll get
