Those obsessive fans are irritating as hell

I guess she is torn between being honored and realizing how impressionable young people are, therefore she’d rather tell them not to get one.

And I really think that she doesn’t want to have cult-like obsessed fans.

In My Feelings has iconic lyrics but is her most forgettable song bar Without You- also it's her worst instrumental ever, and honestly the lyrical and melodic construction the song is built off of is so off-key for her that compared to her usually timeless discography this song aged like milk compared to every other song on the album. like VG, WC, Salvatore, Ride, etc. will be listenable no matter what current music trends are on, but IMF..girl

I've had a shitty day today so I played Music To Watch Boys to during lunch break to keep my thoughts away. Then I played Ride on Youtube and I haven't heard the monologue for so long. I didn't look at the video. I just listened. It's so beautiful. Her voice was so soothing and you could hear emotions while she read. Her voice was like a mix of Lizzy Grant and Lana if that makes any sense, I know it probably hasn't changed but it did feel different compared to, say, Burnt Norton.
Anyway. I just listened and interpreted her words into my situation and just felt like things may not go as you hoped for all the time and if I somehow ruin this, there's always a second chance and something else I could do. Imagine just letting things go and start over, somewhere else and be happy. And doing whatever you want to do. Be free.

I know it's not realistic, but it did comfort me in a way.

I always imagine how it should be to listen to Lana's songs being an native English  speaker.
I mean, for me being a foreigner, the lyrics sound very poetic and sonorous, but I always wanted to know what the natives think. I imagine some phrases should sound silly sometimes, I don't know. What do you guys think?

I think this might be good for Lana publicly. Most people online who aren't fans (I suspect) are defending her. Maybe this will give her more credibility and respect in some weird way. Hope Radiohead gets nothing though.

Here's the thing: The similarities aren't that noticeable unless someone points it out. I've listened to Creep a thousand times and when I first heard Get Free, I didn't even notice. Sure, the chord progressions are very similar but overall, Get Free sounds entirely different at the same time.
I think this is just Radiohead trying to weave their way back into the spotlight, wether it be by releasing a new album or going so far as to take Lana to court. It's pretty petty if you ask me.

Thanks Radiohead for ruining the potential of a great song to close shows with. Greedy assholes.

Honeymoon praise has been increasing the last few months and frankly I don't know why. It's a pretty album and very atmospheric, and it's nice that it gets praise after two years of slander but it's still  N O T  her best for me.

Florida Kilos doesn't really fit in Ultraviolence and it sounds more like an unreleased song.....but it's still one of her best bops

I feel like a lot of this can also crossover with her references to metaphysics, the occult, and catholicism in her music. Lana has definitely dabbled in the new age concept, and the fear of entering a 'new world order' instead of 'the new age' (aka the age of Aquarius). This is really interesting, I've been into this kind of stuff forever, so it's really dope seeing Lana talk about this kind of stuff in her music, and finding new things I never noticed. She had that one weird post about the Zeitgeist movie on her myspace (which was just ramblings about the film), but that's probably nothing. I always thought that Put Me In a Movie was a darker track, about the elite sex rings that plague society. Fucked My Way Up To the Top always felt like a grown up version of PMIAM to me.

    Where have you been?
    Where did you go?
Those summer nights seem long ago
So is the girl you used to call
The Queen of New York City
