If you collab with an artist you get their fans to listen to your music. It doesn't matter who has more success measured by Grammys. And I just wanna say, I am sick of people minimizing Lana's impact on the music industry. Adele, Taylor etc. are all "more successful" yet are obviously ~inspired~ by her, even getting Lana's tattoos. She is more of a trailblazer and an inspiration than most of the Grammy winners. New artists are always compared to her, she literally set new standards from BTD on. In that way, Lana is an absolute giant in the music industry. An artist collabing with her, no matter how big, knows exactly that she is gonna get them extra streams, attention and money. And that's all there is to this collab. Name dropping and nothing else. Anyway, whatever. I'm personally not shocked it turned out this way and also not particularly sad about it. Nothing to fight about. I was just really surprised some fans don't see through this. Sorry for everybody who's disappointed, but there's been a scat attack so LDR9/X may be nigh. There's something to look forward to.

I'm surprised at people being surprised. It's the same old story - Taylor is yet again cashing in on Lana. Like it or not, she DID shamelessly rip her off several times throughout the years, never even publicly recognizing her. And - I said it back in 2019 and was (as always if you dare criticising Taylor) called a "misogynist" but I'm still convinced it's the truth - the only reason she started praising Lana in the NFR era was because it became fashionable to love her at that point. That's it. It was the thing to do. She was never supportive when it counted.

This poetry book trend is getting out of hand...

Yeah like Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood. I agree these albums are different! Because it's an entire concept. But single songs, fuck them seriously.

Collabs are usually bad and mostly it's just business, though artists act like they're working together because they're ~*best friends*~ ... Oh please. Especially when one is more popular than the other one, we all know what's up. Artists are always better on their own, I have never ever listened to a collab thinking "thank god they sang this together". It's never fully one artist or the other, especially when both wrote their own part of the song. Hence, collabs are never "proper songs" to me?! I can't explain it but I just cannot take collabs as seriously as the songs an artist worked on alone. They're fun projects at most, but have never had a deep meaning to/impact on me. Collabs on albums always feel like a disruption of the flow to me. Relating to this, rap parts in pop songs are annyoing most of the time.

I love Burnt Norton as the opener, transitioning into OSCYS! Love your song choices as well

A hundred times YES Omg Textbook don't get me started. I do NOT understand the hype at all. The BLM lyric oh noooo and the tempo changes... I personally also don't like the melody of the chorus tbh. The verses are so much better though. I love how it starts and sounds so dark and gloomy. The verse lyrics are also good. But the chorus oh the chorus...

Exactly! Paying about $2750 too much.

I recently rediscovered BTD. Diet Mountain Dew is still a bop, especially the demo. Maybe listen to some unreleased songs, I'm sure there are a few that you haven't listenend to in months or even years. Thankfully we have a big catalogue of songs to rediscover.

...on a platform called LanaBoards...? I already said it several pages ago: I am not waiting for anything, my hype is dead already. So don't worry about me and what I am focussing on. I just explained something to you that you obviously didn't understand. And what is wrong with that? I don't get your problem or your condescending tone. Maybe you just had a rough day or whatever.

I don't think they meant that Lana needs to release something today. Nobody minds waiting if we get something really good. It's more like, if you tell us that something is coming "soon", then something should be coming soon (and that doesn't mean next year). If Lana's in the middle of working on an album, her managers should just refrain from posting about the album as if it's basically already done because it sets up false expectations.

I would have fallen asleep by the time it‘d be released. Waiting doesn’t get me more excited, it kills my excitement. Tbh I‘m already starting to yawn. If Ben could’ve just stfu…

I am completely against religions because they're the root of so much evil (and incredibly out of time) but anyway, religion is a sensitive topic so I usually don't discuss it with anybody. You don't agree on anything anyway.

Lana goes to Churchome, not Hillsong though. I heard there's a difference between the two.

It's funny you say that because I always wondered if she was put on a strict diet when she "became" LDR. There's photos of her from early 2012 where her belly literally curves inward. Idk if it's true but it's something I've wondered about. In 2012, the music business was very different from nowadays...

I don't think Lana is very good at putting together outfits tbh Chuck was right when she said that. Her street style was great from 2012-14, basically everytime she stepped out so I could probably choose every single photo from back then. After that we got the occasional good look. Least favorite without a doubt: Plus the entire yoga pants mess from the NFR era
