I also didn't really enjoy the NFR era, except the FIILY/TG mv. The visuals are so beautiful and really match the songs well. But the pre-release was just far too long. by the time the album was out I just wasn't hyped anymore. What I also just don't like are the dancers on stage. I think her shows were better without them. Also, the interviews weren't really that interesting because she talked about the exact same stuff in every-single-one. To be fair, she was also asked the same questions all the time "So tell us about working with Jack Antonoff" it was so amazing to be able to listen to that story about ten thousand times...

Okay so Guns & Roses is a really good song. Usually, when our opinions about songs differ, I can see where the other person's coming from but I simply disagree, like I get your point. But for G&R I genuinely don't see the point...? The lyrics are beautiful, the humming in the beginning, the bridge is nice. @Surf Noir (sorry didn't know if you wanted to be tagged or not if I'm talking about you) called it mellow in their status which I think is really fitting. It's relaxing and warm and hazy, like a summer evening by the glistening ocean. I love lying in the sun and listening to it.

I don't expand, because putting them in between the songs feels weird to me and not all songs fit in the end or the beginning. I just swap tracks for demos or other versions. I often make my own albums from released and leaked songs though. I love that you included the LFL monologue in your tracklist, never thought of doing that!

I think independence is the direction every country involved is headed. It just doesn't make sense anymore. I wonder how long the "old" UK will exist. I think more and more Scottish people want independence too because they'd rather be in the EU and only had to leave because of their dependence. Imagine if they actually got out of the UK. That'd be such a historical moment.

It does, I also agree. I see where everybody's coming from but I'm just saying, these awards say nothing at all. I personally think the production makes certain albums of hers better than others but that's different topic, let's not start with that...

But a Grammy nomination says nothing about how good an album is. Her first three LDR albums would have 10 Grammys each if that award was handed out for really good music. And "we should let her win awards with music we don't like instead of not wanting awards but music we like" is a stance some fans just don't agree with I guess.

This thread is a wreck. I think it should be locked or abandoned by everyone because 1) these political discussions obviously aren't leading anywhere, 2) I think everybody has said what they wanted to say on that matter, 3) it already created animosity between users who liked and respected each other before. Several users have stated that by now. I really don't think things are gonna be resolved in here, or opinions changed. Get off this thread and put your energy in the the pre-LDR9 thread instead!

I love that too! Also the transition into Burnt Norton (which I think is underrated, it fits so well on that album) and from that to Religion. It makes the entire album feel like one big storyline instead of 14 seperate songs.

You don‘t have to care. I’m not a fan of the royals either. But why make a joke out of a person‘s death and shit on them like that? If it‘s necessary to tell the world that you don‘t care, just say it doesn‘t bother you but why celebrate it or try to change the topic of this thread to some other stupid shit? If that‘s done to any other person you‘d all think it‘s distasteful. I don‘t get how people are so selective about their morals… She was still a person ffs. Not caring = fine. Celebrating, making fun of it, pulling jokes = distasteful and undignified and very telling of your own character. I‘m doing it like Mer and leave this thread now.
