Of the 8 years I’ve been stanning her, that video is without a doubt the most vulnerable I’ve ever seen her. No persona, no styling, no makeup, just 6 minutes of straight up realness. I hate the circumstances that led to it, but I’m so grateful for that post and I hope she gives us more of that in the future.

Theshaderoom comments are surprisingly nice. People are telling her to stop responding though and everyone would’ve let it go (which is true). She needs her phone taken away lol.

Okay, you are my people. I could talk all day about all this, as a "seeker" / thinker type musician myself. I LOOOOVE Jung. She would DEFINITELY benefit from shadow self work. And I hate the new age movement for the reasons you mentioned, it takes well intentioned, deep people and it placates them with shallow fantasy.

i really hope she goes all out now with her music like please lana don't just say all this then write an album as watered down as nfr

i really thought nfr was her saying fuck you to critics saying she only writes about romanticizing abuse and being depressed but it turns out nfr was a social construct of society putting limitations on her art i need something rebellious from her now

for astrology people, she has mercury in cancer conjunct mars. this is a spot on description of it. someone who speaks from emotion, and mars causes her to be more defensive and impulsive, speaking without thinking and without filter.

I honestly think a lot of this drama comes down to Lana's wording and how its been misconstrued. If she had started the post with the thesis instead of name dropping those singers people might not be overreacting right now. Unfortunately Lana has a very train-of-thought style of writing that follows emotions instead of logic, and although I think almost everyone would agree with what she's trying to say, using those artist's names and acting massively on the defence is causing damage.
 
Part of me is glad though.  If we lose all the fans that close their ears when she sings UV, then good.

I don’t agree that I hate him cause I love the work they did on NFR together but I definitely wish she’d work with different producers for this new album especially with all this fire and passion she seems to have built up right now jack’s style never really pushes it all the way to that “place” other cuts such as blackest day, cruel world, OTTR etc reach sonically idk if I’m rambling or if that makes any sense but yeah I wish she’d keep Jack away from the new record

I agree but I wonder if she realizes that key difference between her and the other artists she name-dropped. In an age where women are desperately trying to escape the whole submissive trope, it does feel as though she was taking a step backwards which is why the media came after her. I get how the name-dropping was necessary to catch people's attention and prove her point but that was not a smart pr move... Lana has a habit of being hella insightful but still managing to miss the real substance behind things whether on purpose or not
