Musicians are human beings too. Her songs are beautiful, inspiring and relatable. What I’m saying is that there is a sad place where sad and dark songs come from. It doesn’t just come out of thin air. But she takes that pain and makes it something beautiful and there is something to be learned from that.

And they really deserve justice. It sends a really bad message if predators keep getting away with it.

I know I have said this before and I hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but this album is not coming out in September. Odds are it will come out in November, closer to the holidays.

How about you stop trying to pick a fight with me and/or provoke me every chance you get. I get it. You have it in for me. You want me to snap. Your not going to succeed. In case you have not noticed, I’m just not that into you. I have much bigger fish to fry, but that’s my business.

Of course you are not going to sit back. You want drama. I’m not giving it to you. The fact is you are not a fan of Lana at all. All you do is criticize her every move because you are obsessed with her in an unhealthy manor and the fact is Lana really does not need you, nor does she care what you think. She will date who she wants regardless of what you think. She will write what she wants regardless of what you think. Don’t like that? Tough. Lana has her millions, her fame and her fans and that’s all that matters. Not everything is about you and your desire for attention and/or validation. We have 7 billion people in this world.
    So here is an idea;

How about you ignore me the way I have been trying to ignore you. Go in peace. I’ll go in peace too.

That IG post will have no impact on COTCC when it comes out.

Back in 2003, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks publicly criticized then President George W. Bush. People went nuts (100x more nuts than how people reacted to Lana’s IG post) but the Dixie Chicks prevailed. They released an album in 2006 and it did well and even won the Grammy for Album of the Year.

Here is another example; in 2015 Donald Trump said racist things about Mexican immigrants. The following year he got elected President.

Another example; the President of Barilla Pasta said his ads would not show LGBT families. People got pissed and people still bought Barillia Pasta.

Today people are still buying Goya beans despite the head of that company backing Trump.

So if you think something that Lana said months ago will affect a project that is coming out in September, then think again. People don’t think about things someone said once upon a time when it comes to consumer behavior. As for music critics, they review the music and don’t resort to gossip items from months ago. Anyone who does is not a music critic, they are a gossip columnist. Know the difference.

People have moved on because that is what they do. Even after terrible events people move on.
    Laura Sisk is her mixer.

Actually Lana is in a good place in the court of public opinion. Most people have moved on from her IG post back in May. The only people talking about that are trolls. The folks talking about her weight are trolls too. If an artist backed away because of trolls then no one would ever release anything.

The public really doesn’t care about the views or politics of an artist. If people like what the artist has to offer they will come for it. If Lana releases a solid record people will embrace it and the good reviews will come. Maybe even some awards too.

Lana’s career is in great shape and is riding high. Most musicians would love to be in Lana’s position.

My only concern for Lana is in regard to mental health. I know she carries a lot of pain and sadness and obviously that comes out in her music. It’s important that no one pressures her into things she feels uncomfortable with. She has had a lot of personal struggles so this is an area of concern. But I can relate to that of course.,

Kanye isn’t gay! lol What is Azealia smoking? lol

I do think that Kanye is working for Trump (and probably the Russians) trying to undermine Joe Biden. They know Biden is going to win.

    1. I didn’t say Beyoncé can’t sing about those topics. Her career her business.

    2. Lana never said she was a feminist. Actually most women do not identify as feminists despite believing in equality on the basis of sex. I personally support the ERA.

    3. I have not said anything racist here. I oppose all forms of discrimination as I have faced discrimination as an LGBTQIA+ person.

    4. Lana does not romanticizes domestic abuse. She writes and sings about experiences. If this is a fan site, then are you really going to suggest we don’t listen to any of the tracks on Ultraviolence? That album is a fan favorite. Lana tells her own story. Men don’t tell her story, so I don’t know where that idea comes from.

The idea of Lana being well received starting with NFR is a ridiculous notion. What NFR did is it expanded her audience to those who didn’t understand her at first.

UV, Honeymoon and LFL all got good reviews too. BTD is now very well received despite the initial negative reaction. Overall she has been credited as having a huge impact on music in the last decade.

She is currently very well liked and respected. And it’s been that way for a while now.

I really didn't notice how beautiful "Never to Heaven" was until I properly read the lyrics. There's something very profound about the lyrics "at least i won't have spent my life waiting / looking for God in the clouds of the dawn"...it's very Christopher Hitchens almost--in that he believed that not only did theism do no good to society, but was a waste of time and held humanity back.

but maybe i'm just projecting my own feelings on to it (although, arguably, that's what poetry is for; to find yourself in side of it)

omg i just looked at the poll and i cant believe how few votes "Never to Heaven" got! Personally I think "Violet Bent Backwards Over Grass" and "Never to Heaven" are the best poems...with "Sportcruiser" being a close 3rd
