You have announced a new country project coming up, called Lasso. What can you tell us about this record and why did you decide to go country?
 
Looking back at your discography, you have always created albums that blended genres and sonorities, in your own unique fashion. Should we expect a similar path for Lasso?

I am scared of people who say they dont like this album. I literally disliked Billie before, never was a fan of her, but this album is INCREDIBLE! Tasteless people can't relate, off to relisten to this masterpiece for 50th time 

I personally think whisper-singing requires a strong set of skills and voice control. She does it live too which is just as commendable.

I think THE GREATEST and L'AMOUR DE MA VIE are my favorites.

Billie's and her brother's music is remarkably deep for their age. When you compare that album with Grande or Dula Peep's, the difference in maturity couldn't be more stark. 
 
Dula comes across as a complete airhead by comparison. (Sorry Peep fans)
 
It's incredible that someone who's 22 can write a song like BLUE.
 
I swear guys, this is one of the best albums of the year. Definitely made me an even bigger fan.

also, the video is cool af. Just billie being cute and fucking around. No big budget, no 3 min dialogue rubbish intro (looking at your charlie xcx)... a simple throwack to late 80s/90s MTV shit that presents the song as fun and vibey, which it is

i think this might be announced in july, two months before release with a summer single.

This is the only place on the internet where this album got a mixed reaction.

I just hope it's not boring country. What Beyonce did with CC was reinvigorate the genre, mix it up, and successfully create both bangers and ballads that resonate and deserve radio play.
 
If we get another Chemtrails - a slow, straight-up genre record with no hits and nothing new brought to the genre, then I would think of it as a disappointment.
