also, the video is cool af. Just billie being cute and fucking around. No big budget, no 3 min dialogue rubbish intro (looking at your charlie xcx)... a simple throwack to late 80s/90s MTV shit that presents the song as fun and vibey, which it is

So Lana released tunnel’s first single on Wednesday, Dec 7, which was exactly 107 days before the album release, if she’s planning to do the same with lasso, the first single should come out on Wednesday, June 5, which is also 107 days before lasso’s release ( if she still plans to release lasso on Sep 20) 

I have seen that too, your beautiful artworks deserve a lot of attention! Although I don't know if they have credited you, you deserve credits as well!

This is actually so good lol, I agree it’s kinda the sound that I’ve been wishing for, like my brief from day 1 is that I want it to sound like a Tarantino soundtrack 

The buildup to “Amy Lou Harris she’s a lasso” wow I’m definitely going to wear this song out today. 

Let us pray she has this sound for the record at least on a few songs

first, taco truck and peppers are a great character arc for Ob. She starts the album with gospel and purify yourself type shit, takes you on a journey (through the metaphorical tunnel), only to end up as the self-destructive, "fuck it" type of girl we know from before, complete with a reference to her birth town, Lake Placid. If that didn't make it clear, she reverts back to a literal version of her former self (venice bitch).
 
secondly, rarely anyone wants a boring-ass acoustic country album in 2024. Beyonce didn't want it with CC, which is why she featured a range of genres and, like, 4 straight-up rap songs.
 
Thirdly, lana adding trap or hip hop to lasso and potentially turning this into lfl v 2.0. is literally the  best thing that could ever happen on planet Earth, periodt. 
 
and to anyone wanting a slow country record with acoustic guitars, i bet you all are the same
people who rank Chemtrails at the bottom. That album is basically acoustic folk, and none one ever even listens to it. The streaming numbers are pathetic.

Ask yourself if you really think that you'd love a country version of Chemtrails.

Apparently, Lana said to Billie via IG "We had fun in the studio" on May 9th.
 
So, since Billie's album wrapped a while ago and had to be pressed, is it safe to assume that this is for Lasso? Or could Lana have been referring to "having fun in the studio" months ago? Personally, I don't think she'd be writing that comment that late after the supposed collab. Also, LDR isn't present in Billie's tracklist.

Starting the day off with HMHAS again-- day 3! 

It's such a tough call for me between this and Cowboy Carter.
 
While Beyonce's record is more expansive and has so much to unpack, Billie's achieved more in a shorter amount of time. Is there anything on Cowboy Carter that's as soulful and deep as Wildflower? Not sure.
 
Are there any cuts on Cowboy Carter that are so out there and creative like Chihoro? Not sure.
 
It's kind of crazy how this 21 year old girl and her brother can make an album in their basement that rivals Beyonce's record that has 50+ people writing it and producing it. 
 
At the moment, I feel like it should be Billie on that stage.

it's also a cop-out. Like, we know you can make sad minimalist songs with just you and the piano, gurl. Give us at least another "Love" if you can't put together a "Doin' Time"

Or, at least, Ride. A big song with a great melody that could get radio play.
 
No more low-key ballads as singles with minimalist production, like Blue Banisters, Arcadia, Wildflower, White Dress, Candy Necklace, The Grants, etc. It's literally been 5 years of those. (Doin' Time came out in 2019!)
 
But knowing Lana, she'll drop Henry, Come on as the first single.
