The drop in streams isn’t worrisome. A&W’s unfiltered streams (1,761,045) are stronger than the title track’s filtered streams (1,718,111) on Day 3, and the title track was actually added on multiple playlists that day (it was a Friday). For a 7 minute track with zero promo, it’s been performing remarkably well so far. Hopefully it’ll stabilise! 
Streams/sales are most definitely not reflective of a song’s quality, lol, but it’ll be cool if this turns out to be a hit. 
 
 

Bah, it’s the neverending cycle of LB: pre-eras trash the previous album, with through-the-roof expectations for the new one. But once the new is out for a couple of weeks, « deceptions » begin to fly high again. 
According to LB, HM was considered boring when it was out, LFL was trash and incohesive, NFR was watered-down, etc, etc. HM was viewed as a masterpiece after LFL and NFR; LFL finally got the well-deserved love it got with new members joining for the last two years, etc. 
all critics are valid, but this forum tends to be over critical with the last album and even the newest one. 

It's also really dumb to compare a song like A&W to Blue Banisters or Arcadia. Totally different tracks that try to convey really different emotions.
It's clear than on BB the majority of the track's focus was on lyrics and while A&W has top tier lyrics too, it wouldn't work with just piano chords, just like Blue Banisters wouldn't work with a 90s rock guitar and piano base 
 
We wouldn't have this album without Chemtrails and BB so the take that "this is the album she really wanted to put out after NFR" is dumb too

not the song’s streams already collapsing after 2 days what’s going awn? 

luckily it’s still in the top 50 of US spotify at 34, and in the top 50 of UK at 27
 
not that streams matter, but it’s a little frustrating that a song that has potential to be extremely popular isn’t really being pushed to its full potential
 
at least we get to enjoy the music though, A&W is so excellent 

Aren’t playlists usually updated Fridays because that’s when 90% of songs are released? 
She better include more HM songs in the setlist. I need Art Deco or Religion live

becoming a "Puts on the shower while he calls me / Slips out the back door to talk to me" truther - i just hear it plus both make sense in the context of a secret relationship/affair, of course "Seems like a bad time to talk to me" does too but I'm hearing the former more when I listen closely...
 
perhaps a nod to "Back Door Man" -  written by Willie Dixon & recorded by Howlin' Wolf in 1960. the lyrics draw on the Southern US cultural term for an extramarital affair-  It was also covered by The Doors
 

i wonder if any of the songs on the album will be about her friend/relation/situationship (see how confused) w Donoghue then? maybe even parts of title track or A&W are? idk
It's insane, how vague/private she's managed to keep whatever they got going on, good for her (#bartender) but i wont lie  i am sooo curious 
we know the last song of LDR9 was finished in Sept '22 so I assume she started working on the album pretty much right after Banisters came out or even a bit before.. maybe Sept '21 ish? The whole "I love Harry Nilsson, that'll be an important thing to know later on" in her BB livestream lowkey gave that away?
basically the album was mainly written/worked on over the course a year in my mind.
 
They were spotted together at some birthday party in May of '22 & I'm pretty sure that jail pic of them was in July '22?
& they probably already knew each other for a couple months at that point at least, so it's possible she could touch on their thing. Looooool
