Vote for A&W or Lana's next album will consist of 10 short songs produced by Jack where the only instrument is a piano.

Not sure it counts towards any year-end results, but Ocean Blvd made Discogs #1 Best Selling Album of 2023

i didn't like kintsugi at all when i listened through the album for the first time, but i felt the urge to listen to it the other day and i would say i like it now! but i will say, i wish her voice wasn't so muffled on it

not another batch of lists to put GUTS and the record above Ocean Blvd (at leat Sufjan Stevens is finally getting at least one #1 somewhere)
she needs more Top 3 placements while boygenius and GUTS not touching Top 10 (which is impossible now)

I liked the record, but if they win AOTY... Lana or Sza deserve it

But on the other hand it's varied, experimental and unparalleled. It's an album with rough edges, maybe that's exactly what impresses some critics.

2017: Lust For Life #6
2015: Honeymoon #4
2014: Ultraviolence #2

Fishtail’s time will be coming soon…I can feel it. But I won’t be surprised at all if Fingertips is the next to go viral

i'd love another album trailer. it's like a table of contents for a book, like how a tracklist is for the album, but visual.

She’s really done a lot the last 12 months or so. I’m not sure why there are two camps (I’ve experienced it off of this board as well):
1. Those who think Lana has been lazy and barely promoted this record.
2. The camp who thinks she’s done a lot - like the most she’s done for promotion since probably pre-pandemic.
Honestly, the promotion got me super hyped in late 2022/eariy 2023. It pushed my fandom into overdrive. 2023 has been an incredible year for Lana and her fans. She’s not lazy at all. Maybe a bit shy and random, but not lazy.
The only criticism that I might be willing to give her is that she may not fully understand just how good this record is. (Creativity, diversity, production, lyrics, variety, etc.)
I stand by my opinion that it’s her best work since NFR.

too lazy? she did a whole festival tour to promote the album, she was in the Sunday Times and on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. I think she's really done a lot this year.
