I wonder if her next guitar inspired album will sound something like Soft Rock, I don't think any of her other collaborators dabble in guitars, except maybe for Caroline Polachek, Mo and Clairo. But I still think A. G. and EASYFUN will take the lead.

got my NTMT bootleg in the mail today and its pretty decent  the cover art is blurry but honestly I dont blame them its difficult to find the HQ images anywhere but everything else is great it came w a small poster and the inside of the outer sleeve is printed as well w images from Downhill Lullaby shoot which is pretty badass and the vinyl sounds pretty good its a lil pitched up and muddy but definitely better than kunaki quality  just physically owning the album let alone a vinyl of it is enough to make it worth it for me I never thought i'd live to see the day  omg and it has the music video version of I Blame Myself on it tf  a lil strange but okay! werk!

Disease, Abracadabra and Garden of Eden are def my favs off the album. They are so uniquely her, while the rest of the album kinda sounds like her emulating other artists (Bowie, Michael Jackson, Prince, etc.). Even though I like the album, I'm not gonna lie and say I didn't wish the rest of the album was more in the vein of the first 4 songs, but I do really enjoy the rest of the album. I don't think the whole "Mayhem is a varied album with a bunch of different sounds" description is that accurate tbh, I actually wish it had MORE variation. It's mostly just the first 4 songs being different with the rest of the album having a very clear theme/sound with similar influences. It feels like you're listening to an entirely separate cohesive body of work from Vanish Into You onwards, which is my only problem with this album. The tracklist needs more balance. I hope the 2 bonus tracks will help balance out the tracklist a little bit more. From the way she described "Can't Stop The High" it seems like it will, I just hope "Kill For Love" will too and isn't another 70s/80s throwback moment.

I think my mom will enjoy this album. I had high ish hopes but the only song I liked was Garden of Eden after a few listens.
 
I’m pretty surprised by the disco influence here, feels like she’s a few years late to a trend that’s already mostly run its course. And it did feel more like trend hopping than a natural shift in her sound, but that’s just me. Hated the Taylor Swift song. But above all, the main issue for me is her throaty OTT Joanne voice all over this–it lends itself fine to ballads, jazz, country, and some rock, but on a fun pop album it just sounds out of place. I did appreciate that she played more with her vocals throughout this album than she has in the past few albums though.
 
After Joanne, ASIB, Chromatica, Harlequin, I think I finally have to accept that she isn’t going to excite me anymore or bring anything new to the table the way she used to.

Im starting to think Marina has always been kinda vapid and shallow and changes personality kinda based on what’s popular online and that worked for a few years but now that she’s basing her personality off of instagram and TikTok brain rot it’s showing. Like you cannot tell her apart from any generic millennial woman she has nothing of substance to say

they mention her ancient dreams being "politically charged' for calling out the sultan of brunei, nothing about her going to that exact hotel barely a week after the song dropped though...

I agree it was the right move but I will die on the hill that stylistically MARINA DIAMANDIS would’ve been better to avoid all the metadata mixups with the billions of other Marina’s and for a carry through of the Diamonds. Plus it reminds us that she’s Greek which she has never actually talked about!

I listened to I'm A Ruin yesterday after a long time and I was overwhelmed by the amount of nostalgia. I used to listen to it all the time when I was 13 and 14. Even though, I didn't relate to the song at all but the song carried this bittersweet sadness which made me feel like I was inside it. In another universe, like an escapism. The whole Froot album made me feel like that.

This botched ass quality on the 20secondsnow leak  Anyways there's so much potential for a Brat part 2 super deluxe complete confection brat and it's brat but not brat but it is and there's more songs roman reloaded the re-up including a finished version of 20secondsnow, Jenny, Make u Mine and a !Francheskaar! rework.... I can definitely see a follow-up or b-sides album coming soon to capitalise on the hype

Kesha's music hasn't been good for like a decade now so I'm not surprised that this remix is bad. Kinda sad one of the best songs on the album's remix got kinda wasted tho but that is OK we will still be seated for the main event (Hello goodbye featuring PinkPantheress)
