I was playing Every Rule at work today and one of my 40 year old straight male colleagues asked me to turn it up because he loved it  

Today at work this old guy (like 60s/70s) was wandering around bopping and I mean BOPPING, he came up to me and said “what is this music I’m in love” I was like “it’s called Twice by Charli XCX”and then this younger guy comes in while Move Me is playing and I was singing along and he says “I was JUST listening to this on my way here” the taste of the people around here, impeccable

there really is a conversation that needs to be had about why gays look for and feel the desire for straight men's approval on the music they like. this isn't even specifically about theneedledrop like there are so many straight male reactors with large followings on youtube that get on camera in a tank top and record a positive reaction to a pop song (that they would never listen to irl) because thats what will get them clicks
 
anyway im happy the albums doing so well. im looking forward to crash deluxe. dont care that sweat or the bandsintown remix arent there. suuuuper excited to see charli live this saturday.

She's predicted for #12 in the US, I don't get why she isn't doing signings in various major cities!! She's back in the US now, she did her UK promo, we need something for the US.
 
I'll be so impressed if she gets #12 on Billboard 200, because she's never charted that high. But she could be doing more to secure that & try to get top 10.

i hate the original deluxe cover just because it's a bad image... but with a lil reworking it became my favorite charli album cover ever

The deluxe is very "bloody demon girl jumping on car leading you to crash right after". The more I look at the deluxe cover the more obsessed with it I am. It's so eerie. There's murder in her eyes. It's like she's gonna devour whoever's in that car.

Every song on Crash really is a bop. The only one I don't care for is Every Rule because I'm not huge on ballads in general but it's good and I appreciate the lyrics. I also love that this album only has 2 songs with features, like this album really is just Charli's voice and I love that since she's been heavy on collaborating over the years which is great but I like that she took a step back from that to just create some solid solo pop songs. 
 
I'm crying. She's a legend.
