She could have at least brought back Mike Dean for some of those songs. It was really a waste to only have him work on WW.

tbh tho the sample itself was always giving royalty free youtube music... her vocals are such a mess on that song too i don't understand why she didn't try and make it sound at least a little better

i'm guessing they have multiple listen to the album, give their score, and average it out, and then one person is appointed to write the review, which is why sometimes reviews can seem more negative than the actual score or vice versa

I would say the Difference between btd-lfl and nfr-ob is that i like the most songs on her old albums, but on her recent albums there are only a few songs that i like

Jon Batiste interlude, the way they sing the lyrics like « …oooOOOOOHH FEEL IT IN MY SOUL HAHAHHAA » with the piano it’s SO TRIPPY and addictive

I love the whole record so much (even the interludes) except for The Grants which I still don’t connect with.

but yeah it still hits too close to home so I can't bring myself to listen to it that much, but that's a good thing, her thought-provoking songs end up being my favorites all the fucking time
