the thing is, I love the leaked tracks that made it to BB, but it did feel underwhelming cause we’ve had them for a while, so the whole experience was less exciting, plus almost half the album were tracks we already heard except iyldwm

for the record, i’m somebody who is very against the idea the idea of putting leaked tracks onto albums because of the fact that they’re already out there & people have heard them, especially in the case of blue banisters where the leaked tracks were recorded 8 years prior to the other tracks & are still at a demo stage of recording, i think it’s better if the track is reworked, though, but with the case of thunder, she didn’t re-record the vocals & from what i’ve heard (i only listened to the album version once) it was like they filtered out the previous instrumental, idk, i think it’s subjective & nuanced, i do consider adding leaked tracks without any changes a bit lazy & less enjoyable to me compared to entirely new songs, but that’s just how i feel

I totally get that and it's super valid to feel that way! I personally feel that Cherry Blossom and Living Legend fit perfectly on the record with their maternal imagery/lyrics of that last section. I could have done without Thunder, but it is what it is.

Not sure who originally posted this, but I get "raw" vibes from Pretty When You Cry, Wildflower Wildfire, Cruel World, Ultraviolence, Living Legend

i hope all of the tracks on this album are recent (2020-2022) & aren’t ultraviolence scraps (unless they’re entirely reworked) or leaked songs we already have

I re-read the W Mag issue cause thank God I finally managed to get it physically, and I stumbled upon this: "My dad is a deep-sea shark fisherman—he has been for 15 years—and he lived on a boat in Providence, Rhode Island, from the age of 15 to 18". I don’t know if anyone noticed that before but we know they’re messing around in Rhode Island at the moment. I could definitely see a norman type of cover, black and white because there’s no place for colors on that album, on a boat with her dad, or on the beach. Anyway, what I’m almost sure of is her dad being one of the main themes of LDR9. 

It absolutely meant something back in December when she wore it, but with as quickly as she changes her mind it's very up in the air if it will still matter or not 

I have similar sentiments as well. Disco isn’t my favorite genre, but if Lana pursues it, I doubt it would be purely disco—much less the more mainstream disco that’s been popular lately. She loves blending genres and adding her own Lana-esque twist, so it would be interesting (if nothing else) to see what she’d cook up!
 
Disco is partly characterized by its synths, electric guitar/piano, horns, strings, and distinct basslines, so I think there’d be plenty of room to make the genre her own, so to speak!
 
If Lana does pursue disco, I could see it having influences similar to that of this song (though this song isn’t purely disco itself)

I’m just patiently waiting for snippets or a single. So far, based on the description in W, I’m afraid this might be another album that’s not really my cup of tea..but I’m staying positive. Based on her recent public appearances, she’s really been giving off “I just created a masterpiece” energy

it was last year indeed, the girl sent the pic to delreydear on insta and claimed that lana came up to them because they were staring and too afraid to ask for pictures.. love her
