She's probably going to studio sessions by now or this week... let's wait and see how it turns out

I went to her Melbourne show and had so much fun. I've missed her music so much and it's so overwhelming trying to navigate her music/catalogue of (un)released music. 
 
 

just got back home from the Melbourne show and i’m honestly surprised by how good of a time i had. she wasn’t on time (shocker) BUT she was only half an hour late, which sounds pretty good in comparison to other shows.
 
obviously it wasn’t perfect, i believe we had 3 song restarts and i pretty much couldn’t understand a word of what she was saying in between songs. however, her vocals were really stellar and we actually had decent lighting so we could actually see her.
 
considering idk when/if she’ll ever come to Australia again i’m SO glad i went because i was almost about to sell my ticket

I'm not exactly feeling much about the new interview, I think it'll all come out eventually and we'll have new Sky Ferreira music. My real concern is what comes after that. I really think the final obstacle for this album is that her entire brand identity is NOT releasing music now. It's to have released music a decade ago. What will she have left when it's out and reviews come out saying it's not the album of the decade? The year? I'm hoping she proves me wrong, but she has spent the better part of the past 11 years being the ingénue who's been silenced by label executives or whatever. I can see why she'd be scared but it's also time to do it and move on.
Also she needs to release Descending. It'd be a huge misstep to do yet another come back and not release that song of all songs. All My Lovers Die is probably not strong enough, if it's finished and she has two unique verses with intelligible lyrics.

It's so tiring. At least she confirmed a new song and that the album is finished and coming (later this year?) But I find hilarious that she is saying she needs that "spark" to release the album. Girl, if in 10 years you didn't have it with the album what is gonna change now?.
 
I kinda feel bad for her because as she says, no one's gonna give her back those 10 years both personally and professionally but I'm not sure what is holding her back this time to release it now that she actually CAN. I guess she went through hell though.

All the mess asides... If she was working 4 days non-stop, I wonder what was she up to... because I doubt she spent 4 days rehearsing for these upcoming concerts cause it didn't look like it. lol The fact that she didn't go to Billboard Women in Music was clearly due to this festival and it would be messier if she'd cancelled. 
 
Hope she is feeling better because despite all of the things, I'm still rooting for her... and I still hope for brighter days...

Tbf I think she was quite respectful because you just insulted her daughter straight up  you could have replied with things we actually have evidence for- lies, bad communication with fans, low effort.

Facts. Mindless consumers proving how high the demand is for Sky's supply by trying to downplay her worth on a forum dedicated to her. People have no idea how record deals work and the way the label literally OWNS you the second you sign a massive record deal. It's been clear they were trying to shelve her, they already stole the majority of her 20s from her. When you speak out against the "man" you're gonna face the consequences. I'm proud of her bravery. Hopefully she'll get her masters back, she's still the same girl she was when she got signed, sure she's older & disillusioned by the lies h-wood tries to sell you, but she really brought "Pretty Dull" back for a few dates last year and sang new songs in the middle of a battle for her artistry. If she gets her entire catalog back, she could drop the old pop albums if she wanted to, Night Time B-Sides Part 2 and so many other things. The fact that's she's still out here using her gifts and showing the fans she's still breathing is absolutely amazing. She's a tough bitch, the odds may have been stacked against her the past several years, but if she really got out of her record deal she's only going up from here. If she gets out with her masters teenage Sky + all the fans who grew up with her will be massively vindicated. It's disgusting seeing so many negative losers spew hate online, Sky's in a position where she needs love and encouragement. I wouldn't want to give my "fans" shit after seeing all the nasty drivel these wannabe keyboard warriors have vomited on this site.

Literally, it's giving unhinged obsessive psychopath vibes. I know so many people who traveled to see Sky this last tour and loved everything about it. Some people are just so chronically pessimistic + dopamine deprived they actually get angry seeing other people enjoying life and what it has to offer 

C’mon girl it’s a figure of speech. Countless artists have spoken out about this. I can acknowledge sky’s faults she not a saint, but we can also acknowledge that she’s clearly trying to do something with breaking the contract and going on tours 

And she’s been vocal about her struggles the entire time. Look at Jojo, she was in a very similar situation and was in record label jail for a decade as well. But after breaking her contract and taking the necessary legal steps she was able to release new material. Sky finally was able to break her contract and now she’s touring and making money to do what needs to be done

If we want masochism or new material it costs money. Studio time costs money, producers are expensive, legal fees are expensive. She’s obviously doing these tours to make money to try to make something happen. She finally ended her contract and is doing tours and making public appearances. We prayed for times like this lol idgi bc when she does nothing y’all are mad and when she makes moves y’all are still mad
