It's funny that you say that when it's legit become a thing/meme online where people beg their favourite artists to stop collaborating with him because he "ruins"
their music/albums.
 
I like that this album seems to be a bit of a melting pot of producers, because that actually brings balance and nuance. It could potentially be a bit chaotic, or lack cohesion. But to me that's better than another album where Jack is fully in charge, we've heard enough of the "Jack + Lana" sound.
 
Rick is a fan favourite, Jack is not.

Not when Born To Die,  Paradise, ULTRAVIOLENCE,  HONEYMOON , LFL exists.

So Ben went from "music in the works" to "music incoming" to "album coming soon" in just 2 weeks   so at least we know now that we are not getting another NFR with random singles without an album in sight a year early.
The fact that he specifically said album has to mean that it's done (so the vinyl are already being pressed as we speak or we are getting it early via digital only).
I don't think CDs and cassettes take that much time so maybe we are getting everything but the vinyl first 

When I read this morning that she started following Rick on her HM account, my mind went immediately to an announcement, where she’ll tag the producers of the song / album… (call me delulu)

The recent W mag black and white photoshoot + Jack’s “bombastic songs” (cursed) quote + Lana saying this album is conversational makes me think of an album in the vein of Black Bathing Suit. To me, BBS is very conversational and stream of consciousness — especially the chaotic, somewhat bombastic, ending. I may be delulu because BBS is my favorite Lana song in awhile but I think an experimental, upbeat album in BBS style could do really well. 

He needs to bring that acoustic guitar they wrote West Coast, TNBAR, and Yosemite on  

Hopefully Rick was brought along to make the instruments well balanced & audible this time around 

I think Rick brings out a certain Romantic Lana that we all love, Romantic in the original sense of the Romantic poets, as well as the contemporary meaning. '13 Beaches,' 'The Blackest Day,' 'Cherry,' 'White Mustang,' the Honeymoon title track, 'Swan Song,' etc.  
 
There may be a sense that that is the old Lana persona, and her work with Jack presents a woman in far more control of her life and emotions. 
 
I think most of the songs on BB, the new tracks, that is, but including IYLDWM, showed us a Lana in control, and facing, and thus defeating, her demons. I certainly loved the Lana of VFR.
 
I think IYLDWM showed us a hybrid Lana persona, Romantic and strong, in charge. Perfect. It's one of my all-time Lana favorites. 

Rick will always remain supreme to me. I love all of her work but her and Rick are just untouchable.

Imagine the album surprise drops digitally on a random Friday in June. No announcement, no song teases, no album artwork preview. I would love the experience of going into a Lana album completely blind and seeing the cover art, tracklist and listening all the way through with absolutely zero idea of what to expect 

I’m super excited that it is publicly being teased/discussed. Delulu hype part of me really is hoping for a digital release with physical pre orders but I just KNOWWWW Interscope will want the sales from the physicals to count towards her 1st week sales. The billboard rule is so idiotic! My mindset is she is going to GET the sales/revenue regardless so just let her drop digital first.
 
Bens most recent comment is a tad confusing lol. Like grammar is our friend. To me it does sound like maybe he is referring to the album being another “songwriter’s” album. But maybe he is just referring to Lana herself. It also makes me wonder if he could be throwing shade at some less involved songwriters. Like maybe former clients?🤔
 
I’m excited and will wait patiently but am not getting too hyped. Ben has “soon’d” us before and it didn’t necessarily turn out being as soon as one would expect lol. Either way am hyped to see how it all plays out. The uncertainty and mystery does make it fun!

Ben mentioning that the album is coming soon to Lana publicly is certainly fan-directed. 
 
I also feel like Lana following Rick Nowels is probably coincidental, but the old alleged screenshot confirming he’s working with Lana has me wondering if he’s worked on LDR9 or potentially a different project.
 
I love how mysterious this era is!

If she’s actually going through with this digital drop thing it really could come very soon like,, vinyl production is what made it take so long for her last albums to come out
