Such a good fucking song. Wish so badly that it made the final cut because it would've been a #1 for sure, and showed so many people what she's really capable of writing-wise.

I think this theme would be even better if she herself was the Toy Chest, and it was all a metaphor for the way we have to go through life carrying our trauma and trying to "clean it up".

Coloring Book and Cry Baby as sister albums would’ve been iconic  I mean she literally released a Cry Baby Coloring Book

Melanie needs to make her fans make the final tracklist for her cause her choices for the final are abysmal

She’s stated clearly on multiple occasions that she will never release songs from her previous era’s.. I honestly find that very annoying 

thinking about the missed opportunity that extta clutter is..... it was the most perfect way to release some more cb outtake it Just hurts she didnt make it right, im really hoping on the 10th anniversary kind of expansion re release, thsts truly a term of a crime not to use These perfectly done songs, Just praying

Portals kinda ruined K-12 to me, it's so bad compared to Portals. Cry Baby is just a little bit better than K-12 but Portals is to me kinda like a career restart, her proper debut album.

Truly, lol. Portals is a nice album but it would be perfect with a few additions from her unreleased. Fingers Crossed, Maze, and Needle & Thread especially are like perfect sisters, where the only thing that could make them better is if they were officially released(and Maze given a second verse).
 
I also think Maze+FC have a lot of similarities in their instrumentals and meanings, so it would've been fun to have them as a double feature like Soap+TW. Putting FC out as a single like Copy Cat could be a really cute idea too because it could have it's own cover art with a literal needle and thread making up the "&"!
