I agree. I think for K-12 Melanie should've just given us music videos instead of a movie. I know she released music videos but they were just clips from the movie itself. If she had done that we could've gotten K-12 in 2017. Also I wish After School would've been an album instead of an EP but that's just my opinion.

I would swap The Principal with something else like Strawberry Shortcake or Nurses Office, but the others would definitely make the best singles.
In fact Nurses Office went off so hard in the trailer it would probably have made the best first single (had she only made better decisions with the sound effects it would be my fave too).

I also read somewhere that Show & Tell was supposed to be a bonus track originally (I wonder what song was supposed to be in its place). Trophy was supposed to be another one of the bonus tracks and so was Erase Her. These songs were recorded in 2017. Fire Drill was recorded in 2018. i think k-12 would have been better received this way too. it worked for CB and idk why she had to change the formula.
K-12 could have been a Cry Baby era 2.0 with the 13-track standard with music videos, 16-track deluxe including three bonus tracks (Notebook, Erase Her and i think Gluestick?)
which also could have given avoided the Drama Club demos leaks pre-release i think and After School could have been a full album with Fire Drill (when was FD recorded?) and Copy Cat, etc

Apparently in the movie script Dragons Blood was gonna be the end credit song and could have been our Fire Drill but since the movie will most likely not be made we won't get it as a single

i’m not currently a melanie fan and i’m sure this has been said here plenty of times but how did she go from writing sippy cup and soap and bittersweet tragedy to shit like nymphology….
 
i get the concept about cry baby but if you’re being reborn into a soul you’ve lived in forever shouldn’t you have something incredibly wise and prophetic to write about…

So apparently the film isn't coming bc the label can't afford to fund both the film and 13 music videos. Can't pull up the IG comments she implied this in rn but yeah. What a surprise.

Honestly, if releasing that shitty movie is the price to get Dragons Blood in streaming….

I think what Melanie claimed was that each song was a different year for kindergarten through to senior year of high school (12th grade)

Just thought I’d pop in and say something positive, Bombs on Monday Morning is a masterpiece !!! 

Melanie can still make the same quality of music like she used to just look at the PORTALS outtakes... she just makes bad decisions that set her back but overall she still has a lot of stuff to give

yeah this thread could use a little positivity. evil is one of my favorite songs from her and was on repeat for like a whole week when the album dropped
