All in all, this is great news. The country era of music is kind of on its way out. Beyonce's done it, others have done it, we can all move on.

On the downside, I can't see this coming out till the summer at least.

I find it so interesting how open and transparent she’s been this era about not being satisfied with where her music is. 
 
Tropico/UV went through major changes, LFL went through major changes, RCS/BB went through major changes but she never talked about it, she’s been so open and transparent this time around about not being completely happy with what she’s created 

Current forecast: This week has definitely been a "we're so back" week for the Lasso thread. Predicting an  "IT'S SO OVER" dip settling into the atmosphere next week however

i think that we're a pretty spoiled fanbase.
the longest we have waited for a lana album was between lust for life and nfr - which was only 2 years.
ocean blvd came out a year and a half ago. i just really don't understand the complaints for this delay... girl just got married. like we need to relax.

she’s a human not a machine! Plus, every single era since NFR she has said she’s burnt out/lacking inspiration and then proceeds to release a full album. I think she deserves to take a break for once, and she isn’t even taking that much of a break, we just got a brand new single/video 3 months ago. Most artists 10+ years in the game are releasing their 4th or 5th album, she’s already on her 10th album so I don’t care if she’s not in a rush to release. It’ll come when it comes.

without speaking too much out of turn and without commenting too much on a personal life i know nothing about, i see a sort of sense of urgency with lana. she may feel that she wants to settle down, marry, have children, etc, as quickly as possible to beat societys (slightly misogynistic) 'biological clock', and thinks that jeremy is the answer to that. whilst we don’t know the ins and outs of how long they have been seeing eachother, it really does seem like an ill thought out marriage in my eyes. then again, i am happy lana is happy, and wish them the best. the suitability of the man, however, is another issue, and i share the sentiments of many other users on here

I'm a fan of Lana the artist first and foremost so I don't care that much about her personal life (of course I like to know small bits of info specially when it's referenced in her music) but I have to say this whole situation is so weird

I don't think Lana shares his views but I do think that she just doesn't care about that stuff and what he thinks which is a bit disappointing I guess 

Honestly I've found this whole situation so hard to wrap my head around.
 
Obviously we don't really know Lana but like many others have mentioned, we do know her on some level because she has chosen to share a lot of herself both through her art and the way that she communicates her feelings. A lot of us spend a significant amount of time on a forum dedicated to Lana, so of course we feel invested in both her artistic and personal endeavors. That doesn't mean we get to have a say in what she does, but it does mean that we care about the directions she chooses to go.
 
Something feels very strange about all this. Personally I've never felt that any of Lana's past controversies were really problematic, but more so a combination of misunderstanding and overblown drama. This does feel different this time. I just can't really fathom how she could not only align herself so closely, but also marry someone who holds views like Jeremy does. Especially so close an election where the stakes are so high. She has been so clear in her stance against Trump in the past, and it's just disheartening to see her ignore all that for a marriage that seemingly came out of nowhere to a person who holds deeply concerning values. I know we don't know Jeremy, and I'm sure there are positive qualities to him, but it's hard not to feel uncomfortable about the whole thing.
 
I wish nothing but the best for her and want her to be happy, but I genuinely hope she's okay. There are reasons to feel a bit of concern.

FYI there are entire PR agencies devoted to tweaking WikiPedia pages. For a couple hundred bucks, almost every brand/public figure you know can control what is written on WikiPedia. This is hardly a crime.
