True Love on the Side, Tired of Singing the Blues, and Velvet Crowbar kinda give me the same vibes

I'm a modern day Madonna apologist in general. I think there's a lot of slander going around. RH was amazing, Madame X did something unique--she looks great (ok she's gone overboard with facetune before, but it looks like she's finally calmed down about it a bit, and her unedited pap pics look better than her insta pics in many cases), she's funny, and she's actually organically going TikTok viral, proving she's still relevant and talked about.
Just please dear God don't give us a trap album.

I actually wanted to add onto this. I actually had been listening to Taylor Swift since 2009 and bought all her CDs and some merch until about 2013 when I got more into Lana and haven't really kept up. These past few weeks I have been paying attention to all the TS news since she announced Midnights and the whole thing seems... uncomfy to me. The whole idea of selling four of the exact same vinyl, an INSANE amount of merch, a few weeks later followed by an entire second round of holiday merch, the release of a million different remixes some of which you have to purchase, etc.
The whole setup of Midnights has seemed like such an obvious money grab toward fans, especially younger fans, who absolutely adore her and will absolutely spend money they do not have just to support her, a multi-millionaire likely soon to be billionaire. Her silence regarding the entire ticket master fiasco, the fact that they didn't disable dynamic pricing, and not even to mention to fact that there are tickets being sold for over $100,000 right now online is extremely disappointing. The ticket master fiasco certainly is not all on Taylor but she hasn't issued any sort of apology or even at least attempted to console fans in any type of way who were literally bawling their eyes out online. The whole thing just gives me this yucky feeling and as somebody who once obsessed over her when I was younger and listened to her music religiously growing up it's really, really disappointing. At least from this side of things, I can tell she does like having special moments with fans and making them feel a part of her music but it just seems all kind've... orchestrated at this point. I still do enjoy Taylor's music and I really do think she has genuine passion for fans I just think her love of amassing a ridiculous amount of wealth off the backs of fans is not only disappointing but borderline disturbing.
I'm honestly just glad to have a favorite artist like Lana who has never really been interested in making herself a product to put on display and sell to people. Especially with her ending the deluxe version after ultra, saying she was interested in a digital-only release not too long ago, etc. it's obviously Lana has no interest in tithing us for cash at every possible turn.

The last album was good sonically but the lyrics were awful

I love Gaga as an artist, but she isn't an interesting musician and never has been one. A lot of her music isn't that ground-breaking excluding a handful of songs.
The Beatles aren't good musicians. And are severely overrated.
Grace Jones deserves the same critical praise as Kate Bush, and Björk.
Rebellion by Britney is overhyped. Imo, it's just Mona Lisa with a dated, tacky, 2005 R&B beat instead.
On the topic on Britney, I wish she released Umbrella instead of Rihanna (Also, Umbrella didn't "make" Rihanna idk where that opinion came from lol)
Lorde has always been a bland, overrated, boring artist.
The constant disrespect to Madonna's legacy is tiring, and laced with misogyny.
Artpop, Bionic, and Witness aren't ahead of their time.
Linsey Lohan should've focused on music more than acting.

it's been a little over 1 month since DYKTTATUOB dropped. We're a little less than 2 months away from the release date bc february only has 28 days.
So we just need to wait the time we've already waited, twice

people who listen to the unreleased songs on spotify are dumbasses, they're just giving random people money for Lana's song
and YTH is not even worth it

Thinking about how I had no idea Lana was even releasing NFR because I didn't use any type of social media back in 2018/19. I had no idea she was teasing stuff and I only heard of MAC and Doin' Time (didn't listen to VB because I thought it was too long and had no idea she had Hope out lmao) ... and when I heard the full album I was beyond amazed
maybe I should've abstained from news this time around too, but oh well at least I know I def won't listen to it if it leaks, self control is important to me

NFR was so hard because the way I bonded with that album was insane..... using music to make memories in the real world is the best way to experience it, I 100% recommend it instead of overanalyzing it
