The new Flower song by Miley is one of the most boring, most tepid commercial song I have heard in years. The fact that this song is breaking charts and streaming records is insane.

Now that I'm listening to it (it's been a while) it really does give me True Romance vibes. The song was recorded back in 2015

That's so true, at times I just get a sudden intuitive feeling to start reading a particular book. And once I start, there is no stopping as I just get too immersed in it

Might start reading The Trial by Franz Kafka during my long shift at work tomorrow, the book's plot intrigued me so I purchased it today
I read halfway through The Metamorphosis back in 2021 but had to return it back to my uni's library, but I did remember liking his style of writing

Purchased that book a few months back along with The White Album and Slouching Towards Bethlehem and I've been trying to get motivation to start reading it but I buy too many books at a time and my TBR shelf keeps getting bigger and bigger oop

I finished reading 'Play It As It Lays' by Joan Didion & I don't know how to feel. it reminded me of TS Eliots 'The Waste Land' - “I can connect nothing with nothing.”
& the final szn of Mad Men (which MUST'VE taken inspiration from it). Its a sad, lonely & desperate novel but stunning.. it's no wonder she is heralded as such a fantastic writer.
I'm looking fwd to watching the netflix docu on her soon / checking out more of her novels.
besides that, I'm in the middle of 'On The Road' by Jack Kerouac & Leonard Cohen's 'A Ballet of Lepers' rn & will review those when finished

Anetra losing twice was crazy she absolutely devoured each lipsync. Her choosing to save Spice was so iconic she could’ve easily saved the stronger lipsyncer and have a guaranteed win but she chose a challenge. She def became one of my favs w this episode.

And now, the latest addition to the family—
Excerpt from the article:
That's the other thing. At first, the title was definitely going to be Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, and then I fucking panicked and I went to Neil's house and said, "I know this is fucked up, but I've changed the title. It's going to now be called, 'Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Pearl Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard.'" He was like, "What the fuck?" I was like, "I'm not telling anyone. Just mock it up." He mocked it up, but we realized that maybe it was a bit much to have six titles in one (Eilish & Grant, 2023).

It's so funny that the pearl title makes "Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd" seem short

Imagine if Lana's albums were released with their original/working titles, this is the result. Originally posted on Reddit, with minor tweaks.
Nevada (Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant)
Born 2 Die* (Born to Die)
Note: Original or planned titles included G.B.A. (God Bless America), The Best of Lana Del Rey,
The Revenge of Lana Del Rey, The World Is Ours, and Do U Luv Me Yet?
Born 2 Die — The Paradise Edition (Born to Die — The Paradise Edition)
Melancholia* (Ultraviolence)
Note: Melancholia was the original song name for what we have now is the title track of Ultraviolence.
Music to Watch Boys To (Honeymoon)
Best American Record* (Lust for Life)
Note: This may not be accurate, but I'd like to think this is the name she had planned for the album.
Bird World (Norman Fucking Rockwell!)
White Hot Forever (Chemtrails Over the Country Club)
Rock Candy Sweet* (Blue Banisters)
Note: Loved You Then and Now (Rock Candy Sweet) was originally planned to be in the upcoming album,
but was later scrapped and the album title changed to Blue Banisters.
Pearl watch me on ring a bell psycho lifeguard (Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd)

To me it sounds like Sam Dew, the 1/3 member and lead singer of Jack’s other musical project Red Hearse (so underrated btw)
Not the first time his vocals were present in another artist's song, case in point Taylor Swift's Glitch
And Jack produced A&W so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he could've used a brief snippet of Sam’s voice for that part
