the album begins with the hum of the swamp - frogs croaking, cicadas buzzing, rain pattering against the swamp water. a low rumble of thunder rolls in the distance. slowly, the storm clears. the same exact bird from is this happiness is chirping, a wind chime stirs, golden sunlight filters through the trees. then - faint at first - footsteps crunch on gravel, coming closer and closer. a wooden box creaks open. the delicate chime of a lullaby music box twinkles to life, growing louder, pulling you in. and then: lilacs in my mind, all the time, are blooming beautifully. a new day has dawned on the swamp.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy it and it's catchy, but it's so cheesy I am not surprised a child was involved in the writing. Almost the whole song is just listing "tough" things, when almost none of them are tough. Like the stuff in your grandpa's glass, girl please he better be drinking some sketchy ass moonshine.

Footsteps crunch on gravel, slow and deliberate, growing louder and closer until, just barely above a whisper, you hear: "boom like that."

I was looking for a thread here yesterday. I stand with him and not just because he's exactly my type. To me, the story here isn't the murder but the general reaction by American's from all sides of the aisle. Everyone from liberals to conservatives to your aunt Karen's on Facebook are cheering that CEO's death. Kind of wild.
