i cant lie i love the lq music videos. the shitty cgi just makes it feel like some indie 80s puppet film. not sure if that was her intention but it matches the music so well

Y'all a hacker was arrested for obtaining unreleased songs and making money off of them and based off of what I read the hacker had Melanie's unreleased songs as well as unreleased songs by other artists. I think she should just leave visuals to experts at this point… her music videos are getting worse and worse… amazing how well crafter the CB MV were in opposed to the Portals ones (with more budget) 
 
When it comes to the music, I will say the unreleased stuff was much more interesting to me than the released. The rock vibe just isn’t for her in my opinion… it was cute on Function and Evil but I think she excels more with ambient / trap production! Some of the best songs in this era being Tunnel Vision, Garden, Dragons Blood, Void (demo), Contortionist and Needle & Thread 
 
on the other hand, I don’t agree the CB persona is what went wrong with her… if done right, the concept could have been much more interesting and could go on for a couple more albums. The problem is her writting, her concepts get more and more uninspired and the lyrics are straight up cringe. An example of that is After School, she didn’t follow a character there yet it stays her worst effort to date for me 

Happy 15 years of AKA, what an absolute icon you are! This is one of her best albums, it's so creative, beautiful and intimate!

Notice how most of this is Jacks handmark... and yet he gets glazed he is not the best producer neither a mixer

Some of you be saying anything I'll just post a quote from Dean Reid (one of her collaborators) about how Lana hears music, and many of the things you mentioned are intentional.

Dean Reid: “We do a lot of low-pass filtering and lo-fying to take the edge off the high end. We use plug-ins all the time to darken stuff. With vocals and acoustic instruments I’m always notching out harsh frequencies. Any high squeal or ring will be sucked out. Lana likes to listen to things on her iPod on the beach, and she wants them to sound murky and mysterious. We’re very conscious of that. If we do something that doesn’t fit and that sticks out, we immediately get reactions from Lana or Rick. There is this thing about Lana that if we know she’ll be showing up in half an hour, we have an instinct about what she’s going to like and what not, and so it’s like: ‘Hurry up and make it sound good, so when she walks in the door she’ll be smiling.’ And if she’s not smiling we know how to pull it together really quickly. But she’s in the room for much of the process, and incredibly meticulous about vocal levels, for example. A lot of the vocal rides are dictated by her. She hears 0.2dB differences in volume, and when we got the first mastered songs back, she was really dismayed by how they sounded, and it turned out to be the dithering down from 24- to 16-bit that was bothering her! She has great ears and an impeccable sense of aesthetic.”

Also I think that Ocean Blvd has better mastering than Blue Banisters because literally on the first listen of the some song's lyrics on Blue Banisters (If You Lie Down, Beautiful, Violets For Roses, Black Bathing Suit), they sounded incomprehensible without reading the lyrics on YouTube. Ocean Blvd felt more understandable on the first listen.
 
I think that Drew Erickson tracks has way worse mastering than Jack tracks. Jack tracks mastering is alright for me, it's not flawless though, same with Lust For Life.

And you're correct 

Honeymoon is her best mastered album.
 
I love Born To Die but I feel like some songs are overmastered, like too polished. Paradise had less overpolished mastering in my opinion except some songs like some pointed out.

I notice no one has mentioned any song from Honeymoon so far.

Brooklyn baby demo we need it

Emile Haynie songs and demos definitely. The lack of leaked (and even unleaked) Emile Haynie produced tracks has always been weird to me.
 
I understand he started working on BTD quite late in the process but still, he is one of the main producers on the album so I’d assume there are some unknown demos that are still unleaked.
