People are more and more wanting to look like an equality martyr online these days. There are ways to address and correct inappropriate/uneducated comments without the self righteousness.

agree with so much that's already been said, and said so eloquently:) 
for years, my music taste veered towards male singers, stoner rock, and hip hop. Lana brought me back to female musicians. she gave me the guts to go to a concert (hers) by myself for the first time and that small thing made me feel brave, even if it was just that night.

It took me two listens to really get the song, tbh. That happens to me a lot with Lana, not sure why, it's like my ears can't exactly comprehend what I'm hearing or understand the melody at first. But once I get into a Lana song it becomes a total earworm and I never really tire of it like I do with songs from other artists that seem catchier at first listen.

I think it's streaming through their Muzak rather than being played via an LP or digital download. That's how every store is playing it at the same time and it subverts genuine leaks.

some of her references are pretty hardcore - like I doubt she's shot up or cooked crack; maybe she hung out with people who knew people or whatever. that's the fun of being her fan, we won't know where fantasy and reality melt into one another. Bravo to her, she's got drug cred to a certain extent while seeming to avoid the depths of addiction so far - it's a line lots of people try to walk/snort but not everyone can still look at themselves in the mirror.

Now we can end the "concept album" argument because according to her all her records are indeed concept albuns. 

I want to know what date the interview took place and the photos. Her comments about the Flipside book on the BBC interview and the tone of this interview (seemingly, let's wait to judge til we read it's entirety) don't seem in sync
